The new BSA R10 SE

Interesting that the barrel length is as short as 15" per the BSA website for the R10 SE. They typically put 18.5" barrels on the FAC units, and 24" on the 1200. I am not certain, but if you look at the velocities for the MAX reading on all BSA PCP rifles, they show 800 fps. I recall the values were different in the past. I put a 15" on my Scorpion and ended up putting the 18.5" back on it. The velocity was approximately 30 fps higher, and the accuracy was better. I would guess that they put the 15" on it to keep the noise down by providing for more room in the shroud, and to keep the length about 40". I am looking forward to reading some critical accuracy testing, including noise measurements with a dB meter. I am not a fan of bottled airguns, but this still looks pretty good.

"plinker"
"Nueces"Great looking gun. No distributors in USA. Idiotic.
Idiotic can spell opportunity! Somebody might want to snag that distributor deal. Great product=great sales. ; )
I agree 100%. It's depressing when you go to their site and click on their distributors tab. Gotta be a reason they sell all over the world but not to us.
