I was able to demo the new Umarex Hammer .50 big bore airgun at the DNR / Midwest State Wildlife Agency range day we hosted recently. The following video is probably my most comprehensive technical review and commentary I have ever done for any airgun I have ever shot. My thoughts and perspectives on this new technology are concise and I don't mince my words in the opinions I express.

Watch the video in full screen mode - it is the 9 inch gong target at 50 yards (the one on the right). Notice the violent swinging on impact. We were ringing 1/2 inch AR500 steel all day long with the Hammer and half the time the shot would rip the posts out of the ground and knock it over. We got tired of calling safety cease fire to go set the targets back up during the demo we were doing for the DNR officials. This isn't marketing hype - that thing ROCKS YOUR WORLD and anything that is on the RECEIVING END as well. Worth the wait airgunners - worth the wait. Period.

Ok Chris, so when is the 200yd golf ball shot coming with this beast. I don't think I'm mean enough to shoot that bad boy. Hell, I was flinching when you pulled the trigger.lol

Ha! Ya - this one is just for hunting for sure. When I get one I just plan on zeroing it and the next time I pull the trigger it will be aimed at a deer. My shoulder couldn't handle a full day at the range with the Hammer.
