The little RTI Prophet has arrived to spread the word...

@Riaandw79 I will try to do some groups, but until the end of today we have had a good wind gust the last two weeks. And by the end of today I needed some hot coffee to dechill the bones. However, I did a shot string 10 shots, and impressed, though I had one shot that was 14 fps slower compared to the average. I know it is just 10 shots, but I figure if you throw out the slow shot, STD would 2.5-3.0 FPS. That is pretty tight in my book. I will try to do a group this week. Too bad the indoor range here in town shutdown a while back. The guy who retired and opened up a gunshop decided he truly wanted to retire and closed the shop, selfish bastard.

Just so you know, I pretty much literally have gotten or am getting the last CZ barrel kits Francisco has, and for the foreseeable future, RTI will only use LW barrel in the Prophet Compact. Months back Francisco put the CZ barrels to the side for me until I could afford the gun. So if you order a 177 barrel kit most like it will be a LW not a CZ, according to Francisco I got the second to last he had. Maybe other dealers still have them. However, RTI Arms themselves said this was coming in an email to me which I posted a couple of months ago in another RTI prophet compact string.

@Riaandw79 here in the USA the Prophets sell within $300 to $400 of the Impacts. I like that you can adjust the regulator down without having to degas the gun each time. Not that I have done it more than a couple of times yet.

For me a couple of reasons and I owned a MKII impact in the past. I prefer my RTI prophet performance compact. One it is initially a bit cheaper. Barrel kits are much cheaper than FX barrel kits. The third gen rti regulator is holding and I love you don’t have to degas the gun to lower the pressure, I don’t know if you have to do that on the MK3. Plus I am many feel the simpler design of the Prophet makes the Prophet a more durable field gun than the impact. Plus I have little confidence in 177 cal barrels for FX, at least past one, maybe QC is better now. What I do miss on the impact is the hammer spring speed dial. 

Update on the specs for my coming 22 cal barrel kit. I spoke with Francisco and I will be getting a 510 mm barrel, which fits into the compacts existing shroud, I remember Alex of ARA told me his buddy did the same thing in the gun he reviewed a few months ago on his channel. Barrel was supposed to be shipped today, but I also needed the barrel changing tool, and so Francisco delayed shipment a week until the tools are back in stock. Plus the weather has been absolute piss, so no real point to go out, and lots of work, and interviews for career jobs, vs the two part time.

The 510 mm barrel should be good for an upcoming project, and should lead to a little more efficiency.

@pcppewpew I have it with the 177 barrel kit right now and the gun is extremely quiet with the Tanto. However, in a larger caliber configuration the gun may not be as quiet as a comparable Taipan, in 25 cal my Taipan was crazy quiet with the sumo.
