The little RTI Prophet has arrived to spread the word...

First because of personal obligations I don't have a lot of time to post and I have to take my former (there is a new owner) of the Taipan to UPS. However, I wanted to let you all know I got my RTI Prophet Performance Compact, and I forgot to add something, I also ordered a 177 CZ barrel kit, with a but.

The gun came in 177 configuration CZ barrel with a note the 22 cal barrel will be sent. Honestly, it worked out for the best, I want to see how the Mako slugs perform in the Prophet Compact so I can get the information back to Precision Ballistics. P.s. has anyone else got the PPC in .177 yet?

The craftmanship of the gun is fantastic. I really think RTI did a great job with the design and metal work, I can't feel a sharp edge at all. I will order the cheek riser in a bit. Also, I am extremely happy I got the gun in black because baby, it is sexy!!! I sent some friends some photos of the gun and they agreed, very sexy, though in the future I am planning a dip.

Scope is a Vector Optics Veyron 3x12, the one which was on the Taipan.

Very happy with the purchase and well, the weather is piss major storm coming in. P.s. can anyone suggest a good moderator for a 177 configuration which will work on the PPC? I don't have the money to mess around with more than one for now.

Downside, between the major storm moving in and personal obligations for the next few days, no real data will be available i.e. groups and stuff. Plus I need some more 177 pellets, @vitals2k though has variety, thanks to me. lol

FYI. the regulator pressure is set to a 135 bar. I need to run the patches through the barrel and read the manual, so to speak, they are cards with large diagrams, which is nice and this should be G3/G4 adjustable regulator.

@l.leon thanks and yes, it seems very solid. Reflecting back on my old impact MKII “compact” I think the prophet has a little more “back heavy” than the Impact. The opening for the magazine is definitely larger than the Impact, at least in my opinion. I gave Alex of ARA a call to let him know I got the gun, and he said don’t bother getting a single shot tray to load slugs because the gap is wide enough for fingers. I will see how it goes.

If I have a chance tomorrow I will try to get some back numbers to report back with some 10.34 grain JSBs, but the predicted wind will make groups impossible.

I got the standard in 25 and put a 177 barrel kit on it, My regulator is set at 130 bar, I did have to turn in the hammer spring a few turns as the FPS with 10.3 JSB pellets was 1200 FPS and it grouped well, Did not like the H&N pellets 13 gr ,, I am pretty sure my 177 barrel is a Walter L barrel, My range is only 48 yards so there is no reason to go to slugs,,

no reason for 135 bar my full size is on 110 and shoots 18 gr at 910 fps
