The joke is on me. Wildcat air leak and reseal

Dead calm out and I heard an intermittent "pist pist pist" in the Wildcat. I removed the stock and found it was leaking out the weep hole near the butt end of the air tube. Took it apart to see what was going on. Had a couple of tiny spots of corrosion on the inner face of the regulator. Probably from using a hand pump when I first got the rifle a couple years ago. Got the regulator apart and there was a tiny curly Q of 0-ring on the inner brass part that holds the Bellevue washers.By shear luck, I had 0-rings that fit the internals of the regulator, but not the quad ring......so I put an 0-ring in it's place and reassembled the damnable thing. Pumped it up to 230 bar and it held air......no leaks. Went to fire it and all I got was the click of the hammer strike. Ops,something is amiss! No air was getting through the regulator. Made a wrench out of flat iron to loosen the narrow hex on the gauge to bleed the air since there was no air to bleed at the bleed port in the action block. Took it back apart and found I could not blow air through the regulator. Apparently there is a specific dimension on how far the brass piece that holds the Bellevue washers ...is screwed into its aluminium housing. There is a rubber cylinder in the inlet side of the regulator and it was compressed by the back half of the regulator....effectively stopping any airflow into the regulator. I backed out the back half of the regulator until I could freely blow air through it with my 120 PSI air compressor and rubber tipped blow gun. Put it back together and now it works fine again.
Is there a specific 0-ring set for rebuilding the factory Wildcat regulator? I could not find anything , anywhere. Just the outer regulator 0-rings seems to be all that is available from anybody. Lucky I saved all the left over 0-rings from rebuilding industrial pneumatics for 20 years. If it still has 200 BAR in it tomorrow,I will say.....fail turned to success :) :)

Order 25 of each from any of the online o-ring stores for the cost of one rebuild kit and you'll have a lifetime supply. bellevue belleville 👍

True dat.............except there are NO individual regulator parts or regulator internal 0-rings, only the complete regulator assembly is shown in the drawing(B-14). Everybody, including Huma, that sell Wildcat 0-ring kits include "only those 0-rings" shown in the drawing :(
Maybe I have entered uncharted territory by taking apart a Wildcat OEM regulator :(

Good thing about them is they're metric... just remove them and measure ID and thickness. You could make kits and sell them since no one else has all the o-rings in theirs.

I agree with Joe Kool...you are just too Kool for words sometimes Joe!
