The gun you like the most and why.

"markyboy"At the moment I'm enjoying using the fx bobcat .177

And also my Theoben MFR. 20

Both rifles are lovely too shoot and are under the uk power limit of 12ftlb.

Mark.
One thing I feel I am lacking is a good .177 legal limit gun. I have .22 legal limits and .22 FAC's but my only .177 is an old falcon FN 19 and the trigger is non adjustable single stage and rather firm. I'd quite like one for target but I'm not sure I'd ever shoot it enough to justify it. The FAC .22's are my go to gun now. Especially with the power adjuster on the bobcat.

That theoben looks great too !

"Reaperdeuce"My p-12

made a 80 yard headshot on a starling with it ;)

Reaper, you forgot to mention that you made that shot without the stock, just by holding the bare action,
btw wasn't that 72 yards just a few months ago ?

and you need tell the forum dwellers how your P-12 goes from being a 30 FPE gun with JSB to a 60+ FPE gun just by using .22 LR ammo,....no wander it's your favorite That's a magical gun ;)

Normally it's the one I an shooting, or, the one I shot last, or the one I plan on shooting next. As long as it will shoot "all 10's" so to speak.
I actually shot my only springer yesterday, given to me by a great friend and older than I am (I like that) .
Haenel MOD III

positive lock up
genuine "Iron" sights (sure there steel but they were Iron sights growing up

Fine trigger, better than 95% of what you can buy today
Naturally if wanting to shoot longer ranges I might use the HM1000 .22.

My go to gun has always been my Brocock super 6, it is such a lightweight and easy to shoot gun and very accurate, now I have the new to me Verminator it will be a toss up between the 2 of them. The both shoulder very easily, bother are very light and both are extremely accurate, it's nice to have choices! Neil

"sushi2910"How accurate is the Brocock Super 6? 1/2" 40yrds? I never have any experience with Brocock rifles. Would be great if you can share some of your experiences?

Thanks
The Brocock contour 6 is very accurate for a hunting gun. I only shoot 25 to 35 but guys talk about shooting double that with this gun. There is a youtube on changing fpe mine is shooting 21 fpe. I Am very happy with the gun i get 3 good mag 3x6= 18 shots a fill.

"Michael".25 Swift Rapid by Ernie Olson. Full custom... aint nothing "stock" on this beauty. Quiet, reliable, tunable, and I never get tired of admiring its uniqueness.

Need a like button similar to facebook....you have one of my top 3 favorite guns...maybe one day I will be able to come across one. I got my Bobcat a month prior to this one coming up for sale. Day Late Dollar short LOL....

Ted,
My brother and I both got Daisy "cock" BB guns for our birthday when we were 8 and 10. Those guns were not the best for accuracy but we got very good with them. Our favorite target were flying grasshoppers. We thought it was cool when you made a direct hit and the wings would spread out. We were up and down the mini-bike trails in Indiana all summer long looking for those things. Just talking to my brother 40 years later about that ! Haha

Form follows Function...but

sometimes going by looks alone works!

1) This was the RWS Excalibre with Turkish red walnut stock, GREAT looking traditional sporter and some time after buying mine (and enjoying it) I read of Mr Harry Fuller's (Yrrah) exploits with his, clearly a good choice.

2) My next PCP smacked me in the eye - FX Cyclone in BTAS rig (walnut, regged etc) I really, really like the biathlon action, it feels so quick, smooth and natural even compared to the newer FX sidelever type. I now have 3 of these!!

Of the 10 or so airguns I have those 2 rifles are my all time favourites (I'm in UK, we spell correctly :)).

I like my Air Arms S500 Extra Fac the most, right now. I just got it back from repair(bad blow by issue) and shot in my first bench rest match with it. Of course this will be a dedicated Field Target gun but it, and I didn't do too bad rested either. As for field target use i ike it because it's weight and balance, even scoped are very nice for off hand shooting, something I'm still need to work on. Though the Hawke scope pictured has been replaced with an Aeon.

At the moment I would have to say my Beaumont .223 bullet gun. But I love them all!
for general plinking the FX -400 sythnetic .22 cal
