The Future

So, with a hand injury, my shooting is limited. So my daughter is making sure my Wildcat isnt lonely.

She got my gun and coffee cup

She throws her head back and laughs evil like, Yelling at the sky "I'm so good"

And her stern concentration as she puts her third pallet in the same hole.

Ted !!!! This is your fault. Just ask her who she likes on Youtube.

My son, 6 year old, shooting 20 gauge shell at 55 yards..

You aren't kidding brother. I have a ton of fun watching the youngun shoot and be successful at it.

I cant wait to see her face Christmas morning when she unwraps the Brocock Contour, with Clague LDC, I got her. We go to AOA and she handles them there and just beams with it because it fits her so well. I just finished sighting it in after getting new rings for her. That thing is a tack driver.

It will be great to see them at EBR. Kids are what it's all about. Im glad they have a youth division. Without that they would be handing us old guys our hat out shooting us. Funny story. When my kids were about that size they set on the porch one summer and would stick a shotgun shell over a limb on the tree in the front yard with just the brass end facing them. They shot thousands of pellets competing with each other. Later in the year a big wind came up and the tree blew over. Broke off about 5 ft up. It was about a 6 inch maple and when I looked it over those dang kids had cut it half in to with pellets. We still laugh about it. I still have the same gun and shot it at EBR in the 25M this year.

A vision of a pellet leaving the barrel of an airgun (Eg. FX Smooth Twist video), flying thru the air, envision a chase camera behind the pellet with a vapor trail as the pellet travel towards its point of impact. Another pellet leaves the barrel (FX video) and showing it going thru the same hole. Then a view thru a scope cam comes on with designation red and green lights moving around inside the scope. A slight pause with clicking and beeps are heard. Another pellet is fired. But this time the pellet is activated prior to exiting the barrel. Again a laser is pointed on the target and the pellet is guided to it's POI. Not only is this pellet about to go thru the same hole, the pellet breaks up within inches of the target to create multiple projectiles around the original target. Suddenly, a voice snap in the background, 'Erica, get inside! Your father might get upset that your playing with his gun again!!"

Ok Im back on earth now! I know, we already have these kind of munitions existing in bigger scale. Bullets with multiple projectiles, scope with target designators. But in the world of airguns, future generations will have a blast :) My daughter is already spoiled that when ever she misses the 1/2" target think the gun is broke.
