So I got the RW .22 HP, i want another RW but stuck on which caliber. I have a couple .25 cal guns already (Renegade HP and FX Compact) I shoot mostly birds with the RW HP from 50-130 yards on average. I used to use a .177 MRod a few years ago and .177 was a laser out to 100 yards. I dont think I want or need a .303 cal. Stuck on .177 or .25, would want HP version either way I go. Any suggestions? I currently dont have any active .177 PCPs. Mrods are just dust collectors now.

Daystate,

I am having a problem with the bolt that holds the side lever in place. It continues to back out after 75 -100 shots. It is part number #51in breakdown. It did not to put lock-tire on due to the spring and ball inside at the bottom. Is there a solution?

The gun is .25 HP rosso

Put blue lock tite at the top of the threads.

I use the same mags for my RW so the .22 cal anyway get a work out for sure. No fliers but I have had a few mag issues like binding. I take them apart from time to time and clean them and that seems to help. I have 6 22 cal and 5 25cal. Wish the .25 had an oring to hold the first pellet in but I live with it. The 25 cal will just fall out when you tip the mag over. Kinda a pain when you put a mag in your pocket or hunting coat.

Red Wolf .22 HP Low Pressure warning - I’ve noticed that the pressure this comes on at varies depending on the power leve the rifle is on, which makes sense. Yesterday while shooting on Low Power, the gun got down to about 120 BAR and still seemed to be shooting fine, and the Low Pressure warning still had not come on yet.

Any idea how low the pressure can go and still provide reliable shooting pressure when on any of the different power levels?

Also, when the Low Pressure warning comes on, how close to actually being TOO low in pressure is the rifle?

Hi, Tony; great to have you back!

The trigger on my new Pulsar HP .25 arrived from AOA with a 3.2 oz second stage! That is entirely too light! As AGN's founder and my personal hero Ted Bier said, "I'm a hunter. I want a pound trigger!" I've turned Screw B in clockwise a full turn (as per the owners manual) and it did not increase the weight; it remained at 3.2 oz. Also, sometimes Screw B turns easily, and other times it won't budge. Very curious. I might just have to get used to a 3.2 oz trigger; who knows, I might like it.

Here is my first shot string. Shouldn't I be getting more shots before a low pressure warning?

Hi Tony,

I have just received my Daystate Wolverine R HP 22 cal rifle. It looks the part for sure!

I have a few questions for you and the Daystate team in regards to this particular rifle:

1. What is the intended Huma Reg pressure set to at the factory to achieve the 45 ft lbs of energy?

**Mine came at ~180 bar on the pressure gauge so just wondering if I'm in the ballpark. Any detrimental issue with shooting the gun past the regulator set point or does the gun behave just like a non-regulated rifle at that point and just relies on the Harper Slingshot system to achieve shot-to-shot consistency?

2. Is the claimed ~65 shots per fill based on a 250 bar fill?

3. What pellets or pellet weight does Daystate recommend for this particular rifle at this power level?
-Is it the 25.4g JSB's or the 33g JSB's? Have they tested slugs in the barrels as well?

Hey, anybody out there have shot strings to share for a Pulsar HP .25 with a DonnyFL Emperor shooting H&N Baracuda Hunter Extremes (28.24 gr)? Here is mine:

NOTE: I amended my initial shot string after AnthonyRamos pointed out that the first four shots from 250 bar to 241 bar were outliers. (They were inordinately high fps.) I was initially concerned that the SD was too high. But once those outliers were removed, the SD dropped from a mediocre 4.96 to a respectable 2.78! Now that's the Pulsar I know :)! From now on, I'm filling up the bottle to only 241 bar, although the max is 250 bar. My Chairgun range card changed de minimis, but not shooting above 241 bar will materially improve my overall accuracy. Thanks, paisano Anthony! The man can analyze a shot string :)

Carl, that is really interesting; thanks for that :). I was elated when the first few shots were 900+. Then they dropped off to the high 800s and stayed in that range. That's odd that the microprocessor and solenoid can't handle the regulation above 240 when the listed max pressure is 250. But, like I said, clipping off 10 bar at the top dramatically lowers the SD and I lose only four shots. So, it's all good. But, shouldn't I be getting more than 39 shots on a bottle fill before I get a low pressure warning?
