The Bwalton BT65 @ 100yards with a little less wind...Plus

Went out today to shoot @ 100yards to get ready for hunting tomorrow and located a family of GS, I just took out three to keep the numbers down...But the .30cal does open things up a bit ;D

The group today was a cool .825ctc with a little less wind on the day. Video coming It was hard to tell that some pellets were going into the same hole at 10X I see why they need higher mag lol I know for a fact that if I got a little more serious...I can keep it inside .600ctc or better. But thats just not me :) I tune my rifles for hunting only.
The Hatsan .30cal with the work that I did is awesome.....The key is to stick with a combo of velocity and accuracy. Many want as much ftlbs that they can squeeze out of a rifle. I can get well over 100ftlb for the bt65, but the pellet only travels best @ 920-930fps after looking at the flight of the pellet and the consistent group I am sticking with 920-930fps ;D If I need more ftlbs if I can afford it then I will go to the .357... Or I could do like I am doing now and buy a LW .30cal Slug barrel and it only takes 2min to swap barrels out then I can go with well over 100ftlbs with the same rifle, and not loose any accuracy. Now I would have two options with the same rifle.

Great shooting. Jorge had to detune mine down from 100 fpe to 88 fpe because the 50 gr JSB pellets at 950 fps was not as sharp as could be. The thing I like about Hatsan PCPs and Sumatras are that they are basic with lots of power, good barrels and economical. I got my 30 cal BT65 refurb and all in I have less than $800 invested in it. For this money I have a gun that's super accurate shooting 21 shots at 930 fps with an ES less than 7 fps, a nice wooden stock and regulator. :)
