New Airgun Hunting Regulations Interactive Map Launched - check it out! View it here: http://airgunsporting.org/laws/
The Airgun Sporting Association (ASA) and Pyramyd Air just launched a comprehensive interactive map for all the states with their respective airgun hunting laws and regulations!

http://airgunsporting.org/laws/

From this map you can click on each state to view the current airgun hunting laws. Scroll below the map to see the species allowed for airgun hunting and other regulatory considerations. This interactive map was created in collaboration with Pyramyd Air and the Airgun Sporting Association (ASA).

Please note that laws and regulations do change rapidly and there are links below the map for you to visit the specific State Agency website for each state to access the specifics for each species and season in which you are interested to hunt.

Thank you everyone for reviewing this map! Make sure to use that contact form at ASA if you think there needs to be corrections and they will get right on it. I think one thing is very clear is that airgun hunting laws across the country are currently quite muddy. That is the goal of the ASA is to work with hunters, manufactures, and wildlife agencies across the U.S. to give us more clarity and create pro-airgun hunting laws.

@ASA One thing needs corrected for PA. The game species allowed for hunting seem to be correct but be careful with the wording on caliber selection. Only calibers (.177) and (.22) are allowed to hunt any game in PA for airguns. It says beside the coyote and fox section I believe you recommend .35 but that is illegal in PA. Just a heads up and thanks so much for the map!

Very interesting. However, I do believe there is an error in my home state of GA. The info on the map says that air rifles are limited to those of .22 caliber and smaller. While this line in the published Georgia hunting regulations may seems to suggest such: " Any .22-cal. or smaller rimfire, air rifle, or any muzzleloading firearm. " such interpretation relies solely on is place behind the restrictions on rimfires.

However, limitations on weapons is not set by the GA DNR, but rather by the legislature. The actual code covering this, GA code 27-3-4-4, reads:

(4) Weapons for hunting small game shall be limited to shotguns with shot shell size of no greater than 3 1/2 inches in length with No. 2 lead shot or smaller or federally approved nontoxic shot size of F or smaller shot, .22 caliber or smaller rimfire firearms, air rifles, muzzleloading firearms, longbows, recurve bows, crossbows, and compound bows; provided, however, that nothing contained in this paragraph shall permit the taking of protected species;

Were the logic that it's place behind rimfires limits it to .22 caliber be applied to the actual reading of the law, then one would also be limited to the use of a .22 caliber compound bow....uhm...

In the actual statute, the limit on .22 caliber can only be interpreted to apply to rimfire firearms.
