The 0 post new member lowballs and questions in the pm's have you guys had any ?

It seems as of recent I have received more of these than usual. I normally just ignore it and do not even respond to a half price offer. Now it seems they are fishing for info. on items and such . Have you guys experienced any of this recent ? I do not want to cause an alarm (but do want to make everyone aware of ) but it is either in my opinion and guess at best a member to embarrassed to slap you with a low ball offer trying to hide his/her identity or some of those picture robbing scammers trying to figure out stuff. I have no clue and could be mistaken but would like to hear what you guys think please.

Thank you for your input / opinions😁

Seller have the right to price any amount he wants. But also buyers can offer any amount he want too. Dont like their offers, ignore it duh. Same as seller pricing so high, I just ignore them too. Goes both way.

😆😆😂😂 So it wouldn't bother you in the least if i pm you multiple times and offer your 10 bucks for your pcp lol you would just ignore me" quote Duh un quote " haha ok. I just wondered if this had occurred with anyone else. I stated that i usually just ignore it but there has been an increase as of late. And you would not be in the least bit bothered if it happened haha ok.

I'm saying sellers have the right to price whatever he wants. They can price their crosman 1077 to 1mill dollars if he wants. Will he sell it? Probably not. But it's his rights. Same goes for buyers. He can offer any price he wants too. He can offer 1 dollar for an fx impact if he wants. Will he get it? Probably not. But it's his rights. This is America. People died fighting for our rights. As for people offering low prices. I just ignored them. That is the best option. They will stop offering if you dont replay back.

I guess I should state it like this maybe ??? The point isn't so much the low ball offer or multiple low ball offers but the fact that there account has zero post and is sometimes less than an hour or 24 hours old ..

If I pass gas on everyone in line at Wal-mart or the drug store at least have the integrity to own it haha you know raise your hands and say I did that sorry guys as everyone's nose cringes. You are correct anyone can be silly high in price or offer silly low offers but at least be man enough to own it. Is that a better way for me to state it 2fast2furious ?

I get that I am a veteran lol. 😉

I honestly believe in freedom of speech and freedom of choice but feel you should have enough integrity to own your mistakes, insults, and statements and learn from them over time making you a better person with something worthwhile to contribute to society as a whole. Take your lickings with your chin up and be a better person in the end with something to look back and laugh about later on in life. I have to openly admit it bothers me when people do things in this manner that relates to the post. I guess I am just weird like that lol. To each there own.

TarheelScott I think you are actually very tuned into what is going on. If this is in fact happening often to sellers then Michael needs to be aware because more than likely it is nefarious creeps gathering data for ads on other websites. Simply ignoring them does not address the problem. Again with the caveat that is happening multiple times. My $.02

nah , your not crazy Tarheelscott , just dealing with either a couple buttwipes , or phishers looking to cause trouble, 2fast2furious , i understand the basic " everyone can price offers to whatever they want. true , but it is widely held to be insulting to the other party to make outrageous offers that are say half the asking price. i mean really? 600 bucks for a fully functioning fx crown? what's tarheelscott supposed to say? GEE , I DUNNO , OK? IF I had this poop i would work to close that clown off the site to keep it for serious offers. this isn't bullsh*t ebay. or craigslist. peoples time is important , respect should be shown.

I posted a WTB in the ads and did get a message from Drell with 0 posts who joined a month ago and told me has what I’m looking for. I responded and told him I would be interested, but with zero posts ever and no history, I probably wouldn’t buy from him. I asked if he had an feedback on any other sites. He stopped replying.

At one time the rule was you had to have a certain amount of posts before you could list in the classified perhaps Michael may have a way of locking out the section to only allow it to only be visible to those with a minimum number of posts.

Thank you all for the input I greatly appreciate it very much.

Rangur 1 = Someone like you with enough integrity to think ahead about a surgery and the deal if something went wrong ahead of time by leaving the note as paid and ship too , Does not surprise me that you get it in full. Thank you for that.

Smok3y = That is exactly what i was fishing for or hoping to achieve thank you for your input. I was wanting to see if others had this happen before troubling Michael with it. You know have some proof in the pudding haha. As it was stated above we all value our time 👍.

Bosco = amen haha

Wilie= That using your dip stick Jimmy! ( old tv commercial haha ) Nice thinking brother.

Thanks again guys . If i have done something wrong I will apologize and try my best to correct it. I am human just so you know lol.

I understand everyone's points BUT just had to present an alternative view.

Honestly, I've seen something advertised and joined so I could make an offer. Now I never lowballed, it was maybe 10% lower but technically, it was my 0 times post. What if someone is just getting into the hobby and sees something they like... Don't screen those guys out, there may be some wheat in the chaff.

Just some food for thought there.

There's another viewpoint I have, I'm not even going to contact a guy that's trying to sell a pre-owned anything if he's asking full price. But in my foreign country experience (worked in 17 other countries), a lot of people think it very normal to set a high price and expect to get a low offer and they expect to haggle to a mutually agreeable price. Most Americans just can't understand that culturally. Over there they almost have fun haggling, here we think a person is 'wasting my time'.

I think the concern is zero posts. That’s raises a red flag. The rest is horse trading but I will admit ridiculous offers annoy me. There are people out there making a living buying stuff off the internet (anything) and reselling. I see this on Craig’s list all the time. Usually happens within a short time of a new post. You get a real low ball offer or a question which goes something like “ what’s the least you will take” . I figure these people troll the web sights and will try to buy most anything if it’s cheap enough that can make a buck on.
