That brand new Impact leaks. Little help from guys who have had one apart please

Ok love the impact it is a sweet gun and is shooting fine so far. Problem is it leaks over 100 bar over night. Found where the air is coming from and have taken airguns down and sealed them with orings before. So hope it is something that can be fixed easy so I don't have to send it back.

Air or is coming out this hole just above grip on right side and just left of the Allen screw. Any ideas as to what I need to do to get it stopped may work with it this afternoon.

Or should I just send it in?

Mine is only a month old and it is also leaking. it is losing around 40 bar in 24 hours. It is a slow leak and so far I couldn't find out from where is the leak.
I noticed that if I take the bottle off, the regulator holds the air in the regulated chamber without any drop.
Unfortunately we don't have a great service in the country where I live.
So I will wait to see what the gauges will read tomorrow. I got all the O rings mentioned in the videos of Mr. Ernest which I am really thankful to him for the great videos.and I think I have no choice but to take the impact apart totally and replace all the O rings

Make sure you have the 1mm Allen, if not you can't replace that quad ring and the front 2 oring on the regulated tube. Let me know if you want help in removing the reg brass body. Have seen 4 impact so far that has a leaky reg. 1 year goes pretty fast---so you need to learn how to perform oring replacement, just easy as other BP but require more time due to more fasteners and orings.

Decided to just send it back this time. Don't have time right now to really get into messing with it. Guess I need to find out what orings I need and get a supply of them so I can work on it when the warranty is up. I am sure I could do it have worked on every thing else. First job was a mechanic putting pulling and rebuilding transmissions. Have sealed a marader several times. Any where you can order the orings as a kit just to have on hand.

When you send it in if it arrives on a Tuesday they will not work on it till the next Monday or Tuesday. They only work on Impacts on those days at least that's what one of the guys at AOA told me. If it goes in for a leak then they keep it in leak check for an extra three days after it is fixed before sending it out snail mail. Every time mine was in there it was minimum 3 weeks. Not bashing AOA just preparing you for what to expect. Hope I'm wrong and you get it back sooner. I always sent mine back usps priority mail so it would be there quickly for the cheapest.

Dear Ernest,

in my case, which is a slow leak, I am trying to analyse the situation before I take the gun apart.
if I take the bottle off, the reg will hold the air in the regulated chamber with no drop. what is your opinion on that ?

today I started with the easy things first. I took off the reg and changed all the o-rings. I also changed the filling probe o ring. but still leaking.
I will check the gauge o-ring.

what is confusing me, if the reg is holding the air while bottle is off, then where is the leak coming from ?

I really appreciate your feedback before taking it apart.

Thank you

Hi Ernest

My impact dumps all regulator pressure the moment bottle is removed. It is instant.

I'm going to mark up the fill pressure and wait 48hrs and check for drop.

I have seen some of your videos (thank you) but couldn't find one that shows removal of the reg and seals replacement.

Would appreciate some help in that, and seals specs.

Thanks
A

I have seen mine and 2 friends impact dump the reg chamber when bottle is removed, and read some guys reg chamber didn't dump. I haven't removed my reg yet, working to good to remove.

Remove trigger assembly----only 1 pin holding it in-place --->with no pressure remove reg adjustment screw, then use a hex Allen to unscrew the whole brass body-from there you can see the orings!

if reg hold air over nite with bottle removed then leak is before the reg.
