Thanks to the Moderators for not " throwing a flag" on every post

I posted a link here and on another forum other day to a short stupid little video I made while I sat home watching it rain and relaxing . Long story short , it wasn't " exactly " airgun related but thought some of the guys would get a kick out of it .
Here the guys let it stay up and I'm hoping they enjoyed it also ......On a different forum it was removed almost instantly....OK whatever , anyway yesterday a fella posted he had some partial tins of pellets he was giving away and he would even pay shipping ...Its the kind of thing ive seen NeilC and others do on airgun forums and its a classy move .
So directly below his post I stated that it was a class move , and hats off to you for your generous behavior ...YEP deleted that also , AND got a naughty gram to not repeat that behavior .
Don't get me wrong , ive posted stuff here and elsewhere that got moderated a little ( deservedly) but on that forum its like the moderators are sitting under the covers in their bed with a flashlight and a veto button and can't wait to use it ...Ease up Dude , its a BBgun forum !!!!!

Yup. The problem with rules is you have to enforce them equally for everyone. The catch is the "equally for everyone" part. In my probably too many years I have never seen it happen. Throw in some crochety old warrior with an attitude and you get ... yeah, you get a place where favorites are treated like favorites, where cliques rule, and where friends of the mods are not required to comply.

Michael does a pretty good job of letting the "Accuracy" poll sort things out and it seems to work.

Thank you, Michael.

Thanks Michael and thanks Joe I almost ripped my gut laughing

"JoeWayneRhea"Yeah man , no idea who the moderators here are . But between them , Michael , and the flag and plus or minus thing it all kinda works out . No idea how much work is going on behind d the scenes by the guys . But its a place I really enjoy coming .
Thanks Joe,

No worries; we like you, your patch, and your humor. But truth be told, since the topic is not airgun related it really should be moved to the Off Topics section.

I can attest to Joe Wayne Rhea's generosity and commitment to the airgun community. I offered to purchase the scopes he showed in a video as being defective. I wanted them to use as tools to learn. I offered Joe what I thought was a fair amount for the items. He refused my offer and came back with one LOWER! Of course I couldn't say no. He then sent me confirmation that they shipped and in the picture it showed what he had paid for shipping. He paid more to ship than what he asked I pay him in total for the scopes. I quickly offered to cover the difference but nope he wasn't having it. I cant describe how rare it is to find someone this genuine and willing to help others. Any time I see a members name that I've come to trust on a thread I read it whether I'm really interested or not just to view their knowledge or opinion on the subject. It offends me that the other forum (I saw the posts before they were removed and didn't understand why) censors legit proven members posts. If its not a direct attack on someone I see no need to remove any posts but to remove a post from someone that was thanking a fellow airgunner for their generosity is insane imo. It's like they don't want others to know who the great guys in the community are. Ive learned a lot from reading the forums and couldn't begin to repay the wealth of knowledge shared with me. Keep up the great work Joe, you've actually got me looking at springers again because of what you and a couple others have shown. The fact the other forum removes posts on a daily basis should say something. Remember the old saying "attitude reflects management"? Fits in all aspects of life it seems. I thought the forums were about sharing but when someone aggressively decide what's shared, we all miss out on important opportunities to learn. Shame on them.
Justin.

Oh and if someone could point me to an English forum so I can learn where to put commas and start new paragraphs I'm sure everyone would thank you lol!

I agree AGN is the best and most forgiving when we stray from the rules just a wee bit? We are all uplifted by your airgunning spirit Joe and your love for us in your videos. I just hope it doesn't uplift me enough to buy one of those FWB 300 's . Hell, I can't even pronounce Feinwerkbau much less spell it? LOL

Best danged airgun forum bar none!!!!

Peace and Feinwerkbau grease

LOL, gee someone dinged me for accuracy on this post. Must have hit too close to home... I wonder who it could have been. :p

"matthewsaenz"I got what Joe was saying. I'd also guess that Joe prolly knew his post would be taken down on the yellow.

I've been thinking on this and I have absolutely no clue what forum he put his post on. What makes you think it was on the forum you mentioned? I doubt that it was, actually. But whatever, I live here, and I'm not leaving till I am evicted. :)
Cuz I seen it on the yellow wit my own two eyes!
