Texan SS Condor 25 cal.

I don’t know if you’re adapt at tuning at all but they’re the easiest high powered PCP to work on.

I have a 24” LW .22 with high flow valve, .187” valve cap. I took out 115 grain brass hammer & put stock back in. Now I can shoot anything from CPHP’s on no preload to 36 grain FB HP NSA slugs on 4/5 preload at 900+. I could take it to 13, a ful .218” cap and heavy hammer needs no preload.

I’d get a Mad Dog stock or 4 sided Weaver rail to stiffen all up. A buttstock band or MD traditional stock.

Air Forces warranty covers everything except intentional abuse so anything TT’s does is ok but you should learn gun.

If you want a dedicated slug shooter get the longest TJ no choke you can. A .22 36 grain will have higher BC than a .25 36. So distances or wound channel you decide. The NSA & VK’s, Griffins fragment well once they hit bone. Petals off or sharp edges ripping through. I liked my Supermagnum but wasn’t meant for lefty & I want external reg. A Condor upgraded is perfect.

I want to be able to shoot small game at times and if possible have the power to take down larger predators with the same gun. I don't know if from the factory will do that with ease or if I need to have it up graded with Talon Tunes from the get go. I do want to go with the condor SS 25 cal for the lighter weight and length of the rifle like it to be shorter. Thanks

I'd rather the 24" barrel Condor and add a DonnyFL Condor adapter with a Ronin or whatever LDC you prefer.

That extra 6" of barrel will make the difference when you want to crank up the fpe, and the AF suppression is ok, but there are better suppressed options available in 2019.

Also there's really nothing to this AF platform, they're Very Easy to work on, but out the box that 24" barrel going to give you the fps to move heavy pellets or slugs to 90-100fpe+ more than enough to put down what has to go down.

Better suppressed options are you referring to the 2019 airforce model?

What I mean is get the most powerful Condor you can, that's the one with the 24" barrel.

With the DonnyFL Condor 1/2 x 20 UNF adapter, you can use any LDC you like, either donnyfl or any you like that can will fit.

Airforce SS suppressor is alright, but take the extra fps that come with the 24" barrel, and just add a LDC to quiet it down.

He is correct Okie but it depends on how long of a rifle you want to carry in the woods. If you will be 90 pct bench or hide shooting then go for the regular condor and add a donnyfl. But it will add at least another 6 or more inches to an already long gun. if you like to walk and shoot med to small game most of the time, the SS is perfect and you can up the power if you "really" need it. Good luck deciding. either way its a great gun. I love my SS in 25 cal.
