Debating which one to get. Not really interested in the mag fed that the bulldog has but more towards fpe and shot count. Which one is better?

Factory stock, unmodified, untweaked... my money is on the Texan for both FPE and Accuracy. My bulldog (from the factory), was good to about 1 minute of deer heart at 100 yards (less than a 4 inch circle). It was just short of 200 FPE with the 145 Grain Nosler Extreme slug. It gives me about 4 shots before drop becomes notable.
Those who have modified their Bulldogs are getting some great results with enhanced porting/valve/larger air tube/regulator.... but that is an additional investment.
In the end, the rotary mag was important to me.

+1 for the Texan if repeater isn’t a factor for you. I keep a couple of slugs under a rubber band on my .457 Texan scope and can have a follow up shot in the chamber in about 4 seconds, fwiw. My only issue with single shot rifles is in the winter. Hard to reload with numb fingers or thick gloves, lol.

If the .357 SS is like my .308 SS in terms of accuracy and adjustability, go with the Texan SS. My .308 SS is as good of a .300 pellet shooter as it is a slug gun. I bet .357 Polymags would be horribly deadly at a high fpe.
