Texan 257 - Shooting 25cal Pellets

You have to turn it WAY down in power otherwise you will be rewarded by that smile producing sharp CRACK of the pellet going through the sound barrier.
Generally you have to also run at greatly reduced pressure as well. The Co2 Adapter works well on a .257 Condor with pellets but it is not compatible with the Texan.

If the velocity is reasonable, then 25 cal diameter pellets will be "accurate" in a 257 barrel?

Sounds like it may be some thousands of an inch too big? Wanna chance it may be worth trying the 31gr H&N Baracuda and 27gr Benjamin Domes and flare their skirts a little. Often tight in normal 25 caliber airgun breeches especially the Baracuda (Beeman Kodiaks).

The initial release of HPA when the trigger is pulled flares the skirts right into the grooves very nicely!

Boy do they CRACK in the Texan and Citrus!
Unfortunately I didn’t get many and I’ve been unable to find replacements or a mold.
