Texan 257 or raptor 257

I have a condor 257 buid , those ho have done it know how much that cost ..and a Texan 257 ..but now the raptor is a awesome platform, closing the gap in power and is regulated..how much time until Travis goes big bore and we get regulated 308 and 357 at a better price point of what is available now...if you are going to spend in one today which one will be?..airforce is starting to get behind ..and the altaros. 22 gun I only the beginning of what the industry could build. for us long range shooters..

Been waiting quite a while as well for my .257. Also wondering how the orders will be filled. When I ordered my Raptor .257 there was no option on the website for a Raptor HP and now that's where the .257 sits for a higher $$$ amount for the same configuration I ordered. I do look forward but will admit a little but of impatience is building - not enough to cancel the order though.

I have two 257's on order. Placed the first order 9/4 then in Oct when the HP was put on JSAR's website I ordered the HP version. I didn't want to delay the first order by making changes, and figured the second rifle could be used by my sons. Both placed with the stated lead time of being 6 weeks. Yah...when pigs fly!!

Two weeks ago Travis told me two more weeks for the first order ( that makes it today should have been complete) and 6 more for the second.

I sent Travis a PM on GTA (they do not answer normal email from my experience) yesterday and today....nothing but crickets!!!! That alone pushes me to want to cancel both orders. Be late, but when you have my money in hand you better communicate to me your going to be late and when is the new date. Ghosting on customers that invested thousands of dollars to help you get capital to build your product and business is just flat wrong!!

Buy a Texan is my recommedation at this point based on my experience dealing with JSAR very poor response to providing info on my orders over the past 18 weeks.

From something I read in another post this past week it sounded something like the slug barrels were on order. Or maybe they were almost completed and ready to be shipped to JSAR. I couldn't put it fully together. About a year ago I ordered a LW barrel with their custom machining for a drop-in to a Prod. Things were very quiet for about 8 weeks and then I got an email that my barrel had arrived. I got it about 1 month later - their custom machine work on it was really amazing and it was a thick barrel but it slide right in with everything lined up as it should be. Slight digression - my point is that they appear to order barrels when you place your order and maybe these custom slug barrels have a lead time in the 8-12 weeks. Again, it's speculation on my part.

I'm also wondering how their externally adjustable regulator plays into the timeline. From what I read they were shipping out early ones with fixed regulators, to be then upgraded when the JSAR/Ninja one is available. If part of the wait is for that to be ready I'm good with that.

If I haven't heard anything by early February I'll give a phone call or email. I think that's reasonable.

When did you order your Raptor?

I bought new Magpul furniture for the Raptors. I will build me a couple of custom AR10 and a precision bolt action and not have anymore in them than the 2 Raptors. Lots of other options for a shooter. :)

I looked at the Western BB rifles. I think they are a little over priced. I have a Badger 40cal and it is a hoot to shoot, so I'm sure the Western would be too.

I have to wait like 8 months when B Walton was in the business for one of his builts..and when it finally came it was a used one in a dirty hard case in a super greasy and dirty car suspension box..ho could say that the super cool guy from YouTube, was such a scammer ...since thet I have never wait for no pcp from nobody ever again..I pay I could do month of waiting nothing moreday 31 I simply want my money .with so many options to choose simply dont worth mi time if the guns ever came close to the 30day wait I'm in...if not I get another thin...

I don't think either that he is the same. And I will order one as soon is almost no waiting time..but I think that a product first should be completely finished and tested ..them you sell them when completed...you could make 25 finished PCP you take the order for the barrel to be installed those 25 go out ...I almost never take deposit because I dont like people upset because I have their work to do plus their money to. For a small business with a ton of work and few employees..the week simply fly out..I have people wanting for me for a custom work almost a year..and I work 11 hours a day 5 days 7 hours Saturday the wait for them is a little bit more easy, they know they will have a unique piece, and I don't have their money.. people dont like to hear what happened is..I take deposit when I know I be on time..
