Testing Slugs with FX Impact - PELLET & SLUG different liners and Barrels

@scotaty yes, monster are quite accurate

Ok, today was intense! Shot lots of slugs with the slug liner 1:18 and the pellet liner, long story short the 1:18 still suck! But I stretch to a 100 meters (110y), almost no wind with the 22.5 vk, 27nsa and 30 nsa

1000 940 and 920 fps @ 150b with 1:19 pellet liner 600mm barrel

22.5 vk

Next week or this weekend I will test the 1:16 700mm slug liner, I have faith in that one (with all the other slugs 24, 26, 28, 27, 30 and 33) the 33vk where quite accurate, but I have just a few left, saving them for the 1:16

Thanks to PBA I got my new 700mm slug liner, I have a 600mm barrel so I made an extension + added a few mods to have more power

Nice work on the extension. What is the thread size?

Can you directly test the velocity difference between 600mm and 700mm with no other changes? I'd be interested to see how much speed is added with the longer barrel.

Thanks,

Rusty

Around 40 to 50 fps more

This draw might help 😉

The more I think about it, the more I think this extension should be something FX, or someone else offers for sale. I have a CNC mill, but I'm not sure how well I could make this extension. I'm certainly capable of ordering one though :) I have two of the 700 mm liners, and planned to cut them off to fit my 600 mm barrel, but it would be nice to test one full length first.

I watched Matt's excellent slug liner video today, and it changed my plans for the two 700mm liners I have. I had planned to cut one off at each end, to try with and without the choke at 600mm. In the video, he talked about chokes and the fact that some barrels don't need them. He stated with 100% certainty that the STX barrel will not perform well without a choke, so he probably saved me $110. I cut one of at the breech end today, and opened up the rifling as carefully as I could to match how the factory breech end fits. I'll plan to keep the other liner full length, and find a way to make an extension.

Thanks,

Rusty

A friend of mine make it in about 1 hour without the draw, and works perfectly. 700 mm is what I like, and this simple extension save me a few coins on a new barrel

I’m interest in buying one of those extension if your friend is willing to make it. Please pm the price.

Sorry not selling, I left the draw so anyone can make it, not that hard
