Tequila PCP Airgun

Alfonso, I love the path this gun is taking. Cannot complain about the name of the gun, either. Do you have an timeline in mind for finding potential buyers?

Tsk for yours words, the name is because I am Mexican and the most popular thing in Mexico is the tequila. Using this name is very hard someone forgot it.

Before to ask for buyers, I want to show in a video the performance of the tequila. right now I am waiting for finish two pieces to continue with the performance test. I hope finish it this week end. So I will asking for buyers the next week.

Awesome! I would like to have one :)

Also I think it would be better to have the cocking handle on the left side for compact pistol.

Very good observation, the handle in the left side is completely ergonomic option.

This is a good point. The majority of pistol shooter's are right handed. Putting the cocking lever on the left side would allow them benefit from not having to change grip every time they cock the gun and engage the target.

The skeletoniized grip is top shelf work, very innovative applying it to this pistol! Did you get the air leak worked out?

Yes I fixed it. I was using a new system to seal the input high pressure air. And change it for a easy solution.

Any updates?

Yes, finally I shootings a few pellets, but the speed was slow, I was getting 15 ft lbf. So the last week I redesign the compleat hammer system. I add more weight to the hammer, changed the spring. Today I received the parts, so I hope shoot it the next Monday. As soon as I get the 30 ft lbf I share the info with yours.

How did this go? I find the best way to get more power and speed is through porting for smooth air flow (along with hammer weight and springs). I grind down and polish to smooth the air transition around corners and ensure that the port sizes all match closely.

I can get 5 shoots of 37 ft lbs, using the following specs.

1800 psi

12 cc of plenum

Diameter discharge valve port 0.187 “

11 inches barrel

18.2 grains

Using this values I calculate that the tequila gun can produce the same power using less air pressure, Then I modify the following

Diameter discharge valve port 0.223.

30 cc of plenum

1300 psi.

Unfortunately the valve port was damage and I can finished the test.

The attached picture shows the the velocity of 5 pellets.

Hello everybody,

Although now I have the design on hold until I have capital to invest in it. I have been working on the improvement opportunities that I found in the first prototype. Following I will show the changes I want to make to the original design.

1.- 30 cc of plenum

2.- Holes on thread unions to check leaks

3.- Identify pellet chambers using Mayas numbers.

Any question please let me know.

Hello everyone,

I want to continue with the developed and finished of this project, my goal is start a serial production on middle of this year. In this moment my economic resources are focus in other things, like my child and live every day. In couple months I hope get a extra cash to continue it.

But, I love the Airguns and create new things. Today I am asking for your help to continue with it. I want to launch a Found me campaign to get the total of $3K, it is the total that I need to finish a new prototype that include everything that I told you yesterday.

To be attractive the contribution I can award the person that contributed to get this goal as following.

  • I will give back the total of his contribution plus a 25% when he buy a new tequila gun.
  • If the person does not want to buy a Tequila gun, I give back the total of his contribution once the first sale of 50 tequila guns has been made.

If you want to help me to finished this project, please lead me know through my mail: or my Facebook siteleaving a message. So if the number of persons interested on help me is big, I will launched the campaign on the web site: gofundme.com

What's the intended price should you get enough people showing interest?

With the looks and basic specs alone, I think you'll have no problem at all finding 50 buyers.

I want share the following information

The body gun, folding suppressor, folding stock and lower picatinny rail are made from 7075 Alum, hard anodize.

Monocore suppressor is 3D print using Nylon glass fiber filled.

Magazine is made from stainless steel. 8 rounds

Grip, is 3D print Nylon carbon fiber filled.

Hardware (Screes, pins, springs, rings, etc) Stainless steel

Air deposit Titanium G2

Single shoot tray 7075 Alum hard anodize.

Fill probe Copper.

Barrel: Lothar Walther

Sear, trigger, hammer, valve pin, etc stainless steel.

The sell price for tequila gun and tequila shot would be USD 660 plus shipping. And included the following

Gun

1 Fill probe

1 Magazine

1 Single shoot tray

2 O-ring set

Manual

For the other accessories the price would be the following:

Folding stock: USD 130

Suppressor : USD 136

Lower picatinny rail : USD 23

Extra magazine : USD 44

Extra single shoot tray: USD 10

@gunnerf250

I hope keep the same prices, plus the modifications, like presicion open sight and fasteners to hold in place the folding suppressor and stock.

This project reminds me of another very successful forum, at getting community projects accomplished at a fair price. (budgetlightforums)

I like the way this have developed. I'd like to see this in a large cal with multishot.

The goal for this year is developed the following calibers 0.177, 0.22 and 0.25.

The next year I hope developed a .30 using 18 inches barrel and 60 cc of plenum with a carbon fiber deposit.
