Nice shooting. I tried weighing pellets, meh. I tried sorting pellets by diameter, meh. Then I ordered a sizing tool and three dies. Both my Dianas like pellets that are sized to .218. Made a big difference on fliers and it was the least labor intensive solution of the three I tried.

I know this thread is old by about a year, but that's how long it's taken me ! This was my 10th or 11th attempt and have had quite a few close calls but this one I think is finally good with all 30 inside the dime. Target 5 is close but after looking at it, the pellet went in clean and the tear is just elongated a bit. Let me know if you think differently. I'm pretty happy with this. Probably need to start sizing pellets.
Stock Walther LGU, JSB 7.87 from the box (expensive) calm evening, bags on a picnic table.

Good shooting JFS. You’ve got to love those Walthers. I might have another go at this frustrating (to me) challenge again. But first I’ll have to buy some printer ink. It’s cheaper to buy a new printer then to buy the ink.

Hi guys,

some frustration when I missed by one or two, but it was mostly just fun and challenging and yes, it does feel good when you do this with a springer! Love that LGU and I think the more expensive 7.87 JSB's in the box helped keep flyers down? I don't look at 'em or sort so maybe these were a bit more uniform. Probably just psychological. Yeah, printer ink is a scam but with that gun you have a good shot of getting a winner before you have to sell your car to refill again.

After finally finding a pellet that I am able to shoot out of my rifle, I decided to try this out.
Not bad for an amateur's first attempt, I guess. (.22 HW97k, AA 13.43, 671 FPS, 25 yards from muzzle to target) I know some of the holes look like the pellet went through sideways. That's not the case. The paper tore because it wasn't perfectly backed by the cardboard (and there were previous holes already in the cardboard).

Two Ten Dimes targets this evening. Walther LGU .177 shooting five shots per dime at 25 yards.

not my best, not my worst. used a .177 target w/a .22 rifle, but didn't want to print out more at the moment.

New to me Beeman R7 .177 after 35 pellets getting a scope dialed in and testing 5 kinds. Figured why not, let's see how much more practice this is gonna take. Pellets were H&N Sniper Medium 8.5gr, scope is a Hawke Airmax 3-9x40. Shanked one on the 5th target but not to shabby at all
