Nice bright sunny morning up at 4:45am fixed breakfast, coffee, etc. for wife and I. Read the

newspaper and got everything in the car by 6:30. Hmm have about an hour and a half before need to leave so sat down to read computer news and fell asleep. poop LD is calling , what time is it 8:30. Holy crap. Yup I’m on the way…

Benches all set up every other one open. Four shooter instead of the 8 or 10 . Social distance maintained. I received a few ugly looks and it was mentioned in passing that sleeping in, opens one up for latrine duty. In an outhouse?? Ugh.

Mike (Team Centercut) had his Daystate Electronic marvel prize set up for me to shoot. Wow . What a wonderful piece of workmanship and beauty. Far better shooter than I am. But the trigger is ultra quick and I missed several times till I started to get the feel. The zero force cocking lever is so nice. I know with a little more use two things would happen. I must have one and my score would improve. However, none of this is the story of the day. Mike is so damn nice!

LD called me over and told me to sit down now and shoot his gun. Each time I switch guns it takes a while to find a comfortable position. He instructed me on the use of his rest. We had some really good gusty winds all morning and it moved all around. Well first three shot were X‘s one nine and one more X.

I jumped up and told him that was cheating and sneaky and must in some way be illegal. He’s laughing and telling me that I need to get a good rest like this “Randolph Engineering” made in North Carolina. “You guys and your sandbags, and fancy bipods are just peeing in the wind”.

I told him next time we are coming for him with an electronic servo driven rest with radar that senses the ink in the X ring, along with an air puff trigger actuator made from and Elk’s testicle and carbon fiber tubing. Specifically Elk, no other type will provide the proper control. We’ll call it the LD ASS KICKER.

What a great day!!!

PS: All engineering suggestions for the LDASSKICKER encouraged.
