Tell the truth

Yup! Shot a whole tin of 33.95 JSB MkII at paper this afternoon. High 30s and no wind made for a very enjoyable day of shooting.

Right now (8:15 PM CST) I'm sitting out in the dark with my hot rod Condor .25. Got a tin of HP slugs and a full tank of air and an ATN X-Sight II waiting for a coyote to show up. I set out 2 squirrels that I got this afternoon, and also set out a bunch of table scraps for coyote bait. I'll probably sit out with the gun until long after midnight tonight. Just stopped by here after a bathroom break to see what's going on. If I get a coyote tonight, I'll see if I can figure out how to upload a pic.

Wish me luck.

Out,

...i used to use catfish stink bait and a large piece of denim to laydown around where i'd set the onida jump trap..... that stinky stuff really brought em in out in west texas , and covered the human scent . and believe it not - a portable cassette player playing the wounded rabbit sounds worked for coyotes and bobcat. i was sold and labeled a a predator call. i actually have been seeing more bobcat that coyotes on the outskirts and under-development areas around fort worth the last two years. back in those trapping days , a coyote pelt could bring $40-60 bux. they were in demand over in europe (early 1980's).

Lucky to get 20-30 bucks for a yote pelt now, a person is better off tanning them and making hats and selling the hats for around 200.00 each depending on fur quality and where you sell them.
