Tell me it’s not true!

Just got the .25 King Heavy in today. Good news. They have deeper cavity and slightly thinner skirt than my Mk2. Bad news. They aren’t exactly like the older King Heavy Mk1s. So let’s call these Mik1.5. We’ll see how they shoot this weekend in my .25 Delta Wolf. More to follow. ;)

Can you post pics, and provide a measurement of the cavity depth? Because they sound different than the king heavies I received just a couple weeks ago which sure look like Mk2's.

The lack of consistency on JSBs part is disappointing...

Here's the king heavies I received a couple weeks ago... New shipment on left, 2018-ish Edgun branded king heavies on the right. Very obvious differences, and what I received certainly aren't Mk1 king heavies.

Will follow up with measurements but this is the photo. Old (Mk1)) King Heavy left, new King Heavy Mk1.5 center, Mk2 on right. Clarity could be better but you can see that the cavity on the Mk1.5 is deeper than the Mk2 but not as deep as the Mk1. I do not know if this affects performance from a polygonal barrel or not. We'll see...

Thanks for the pic, that's clear enough to see the cavity difference. As you said, it's not a mk1, but not a mk2 either, and certainly isn't what I received just a couple weeks ago.

So now there's at least 3 variants of the 33.4s out there... Lol. Sure makes things confusing if your rifle likes only 1 particular variant and you never know what JSB is going to send you.

Hopefully the Mk1.5's work better in your rifle than the Mk2's. I haven't tried my Mk2's (in Mk1 tins) in my R5M yet, ever since I received the new .22 impact M3 last week that's all I have been playing with.

Unfortunately, the Mk1.5 has the same skirt diameter as the Mk2, and NOT the Mk1. Both the Mk1.5 and the Mk2 are 6.60. The Mk1s that I have are 6.68mm. I just measured the three again to confirm. Cavity depth Mk2 is 1.25mm, Mk1.5 is 1.75mm and the Mk1 is 2.20mm. Accuracy testing to follow sometime this weekend... The skirt thickness of the Mk1.5 and the Mk1 are similar, with the Mk2 being noticeably thicker...
