Teds new vid + his speed revealing

I do not believe it is an exact velocity. He did not tune the gun, he just dialed it down to shoot with the same velocity as his .30 cal. When properly tuned it might end up 20 fps lower, or higher, for all I know. When he choose 850, I do not know if that is the maximum speed he choose, and end up lower, or just an approximate. For most of us it will probably be enough to start at 800fps, and slowly increase speed, and stop anywhere between 800-900 where the gun shoot best, on a calm day.

IMO every gun is different and if you look at some of the harmonic tuning videos they showed out of 6-7 speed ranges 2-3 are better and then the best is picked by grouping. generally lower the power the easier to find a good harmonic tune simply because there is less harmonics to deal with. It’s a lot of work And lead no doubt.

That's the secret, harmonic balancing. Which could be at multiple speeds as you are trying to time the whip of the barrel and pellet exit at the muzzle. Tuning for groups reveals if you have it correct.

Patrick, man I'm sorry, I just rezero'd and didn't bother with hold over. Should have checked but I didn't. I would imagine there would be a holdover change though going from 880 to 830.

No prob man.

i just did it at 77meters after zeroing it at 50. but theres not much change. Matt mentioned in his video that when the bullet is not at it right speed it can’t follow its own flightpath. Maybe that’s the reason it hasnt changed much at my Impact.
