Teds new vid + his speed revealing

Hi guys!

im sure a lot of u have seen Teds new vid with the accuracy between the .35 impact and .30 impact.

he mentioned that he shoots his impact .30 at 850fps. Has anyone tried that? I instantly went out and tried it just with the hammerwheel and the accuracy seems pretty well. I got 855fps. I’m sure it’s way better when the reg is tuned down for that speed.

Ahhh, the Unicorn, the ever mythical Hole in Hole at 100 yards. Often discussed, never actually seen. Pretty much like Big Foot. ;)

You’re right. ;)

You blindly shoot a basketball full court outdoors backwards in the wind enough times you're bound to get a few back to back shots that are successful. Having a gun thats MOA at 100 yards is BS, its a combination of gun, shooter, and the elements leaning in your favor for that series of shots...now indoors is a different story ;)

The unsupported length of the 800mm barrel of the .35 Impact is getting too long again making it more critical to harmonics even with the big can on the end. Or because of the big weight on a long barrel causing some droop to begin. A drooping barrel whips more than a straight barrel. Especially with a heavier projectile running more energy to excite it.

His .30 is shooting good though.

Gotta test multiple speeds in guns for best accuracy. Don't necessarily need to shoot for a target speed just try them out and see what gives best accuracy for your gun. But yes the faster is better isn't always true unless your just talking FPE numbers.

Ive tried after I got this gun from 860 to 900.

ive noticed that from 870 to 890 it’s not that accurate.

so I’ve tuned it to 899-900 and it was badass.
maybe I’ll do a complete retune from 840 upwards and then I’ll know exactly what’s going on.

He mentions and shows multiple target results in one video that he changed something that he did in his technique that made the groups shrink noticeably. I wonder what he was referring to but would spill the beans on camera?

I know what vid you mean, but I can’t figure out what that change was. I personally noticed a big difference how I hold on my rifle, and triggerpull is really important.

Yep that’s another story! 👍🏻
but what I don’t understand, I zeroed my rifle at 50 meters with 899fps.

after teds video I go out and just turned the Hammer to 5 and the valve little more in that I shoots at around 855, but my zero stays the same.

I have another post on this forum where I was shooting JSB MKII's out of my MK2 Impact at 880. It was a bit erratic with groups so tied slowing things down. Now I'm getting amazing groups at 830 on power wheel setting 3 and went from 120 Bar to 100 Bar on the Reg. Now great groups and saving air. Go figure.

Well thanks man.

i really need to figure that out.

does your holdovers changed much after the retune?

I am not an expert but if I do not remember wrong he said in an earlier video (can not remember if it was the .25, or .30 impact) that the pellets get more stable in wind, by slowing the speed down some. The wind can come from any direction, and if the gun is already shooting in the 900`s it might take less disturbance from wind disrupting the pellets. We also have to remember he tune his guns exactly to perform in windy conditions, as he compete where he never know what the weather will be. I personally do not shoot that much long range, and when I do, I prefer doing it on a calm day. That is probably what most of us do, so we will be happy as long as the gun shoot good on a none windy day.
