Teds Impact review, anyone else catch his last comments?

Regarding his methods for tuning a gun for maximum accuracy and how he has been keeping his methods a secret? I've always thought it was a matter of selecting the right pellet and changing fps

I've shot numerous fx guns and most of them never come close to the accuracy that Ted always gets. Even when it's the same gun we are shooting. And even after messing with fps.

I wish I had time to tinker with my guns. I'd gladly pay Ted to tune my gun for me.

I think Ted said he'll share like 80 to 90% of what he has done to get the most out his Impact .25. Can't blame the poor bloke for wanting to keep a competitive edge ;) I'll be thrilled to have the benefit of whatever he chooses to share, but what I am really curious about is if he was able to duplicate his successes with BOTH the MK1 and MK11 Heavies. I seem to recall Ted wasn't quite sure if his first large batch of heavies acquired were one or the other.

There are a couple of guys whom tune guns out there. I don't know whom tunes FX guns, but there are a couple that will tune vulcans, mutants, and crickets. As far as tuning i believe its a combination of hammer spring adjustments, regulator adjustments, maybe some polishing, and maybe something done to the transfer port and or main valve spring. I'm not a tinker either. a lot of it is designed to get the extreme spread as low as possible and keeping the FPS as high as possible with the lowest deviation.

Ted, is a good guy. You can tell the guy is genuine, no freakin pretense. If I ever meet him, will buy him a drink or two. I hate fakes and phony specimens. Heck, I have been in business for 40 years, I share a lot with my competitors, but always keep the ace up my sleeve. I really don't care for the attacks on him. Inferiors always attack the superiors, just the way it is. Will say no more on the subject. I love air guns & they have brought me a lot of enjoinment & escape. May the "air gods" bless you all.

as for his accuracy, I suspect it's simple repetition. Shooting, practice, more shooting, more practice and the like. From early videos I suspect he shoots several tins of pellets or more a week. I won't, at least in the near term, shoot anywhere near my guns potential because I simply don't practice enough. He makes it look easy, but to be honest, he works hard at it.

another thing to look at is some times hes given guns to try and review now if you where a company about to give the gun to know reviewer the gun your gonna makes sure its the top of the tops and coming form a factory they can do that that can sit there and do huge amounts of quality control to get the most perfact 5-10 and then toss them out to reviews where people can take merit in there work
dnt get me wrong he loves t shoot he's been shooting since he was a kid and he is god but if you listen even he says he over compensates some times he also sorts his pellets takes the time to fine tune his gun for 1 specific pellet and dose all the work to try and bring out all the gun can do I commend him for that I don't have a sizing apparatus but even I know hats when I sort by grain my gun shots better with 1 over the other I cant wait t get my fx wildcat here son just so I can screw around with all the setting for days its part of the fun I

I can't tell you how many times I've started this statement on other forums, but stopped because it adds nothing constructive to an already out of control discussion. I have read some really appalling stuff from people who either have agendas of their own or really have little ability to read people's intentions (not that I am an expert in the latter, by any means). There are a lot of FUD weavers out there.
I'll be the first to admit that I love a good conspiracy, but I have never felt like Ted was pulling the wool over our eyes in any of his videos or reviews. Maybe it is just his personality on camera, but I believe he is the genuine article. A talented marksman and a big-hearted contributor to our sport/hobby.
Thanks, Ted, for all of your hard work.

"Nutcracker"If I ever meet him, will buy him a drink or two.
Been there, done that. Great guy and you should have seen the faces of the three kids he turned over his Pyramyd Air Cup prizes to at the banquet and the range award ceremony last year. I'm talking CASH and rifle prizes, etc. He didn't have to do that but it earned my respect. Those kids are now our serious airgun future.

Looking forward to more videos this year.

Hope this his isn't one of his "secrets". Check out his scope mount in the "Gunslinger Event"

If my rifle would shoot sub one-inch groups all day long, I would post videos and photos of my gu and the groups all day long. We need more videos from Ted. There is a difference between a "review" and an "experience" with a rifle. A review is like being on a first date...trying to make a good impression. But I am more curious what she is really like going with her everyday.
