This afternoon, I took the AZ-tuned Steyr High Powered Hunting .22 to Bud's Range here in Lexington KY. My scope is nothing fancy (BSA Optics 3-12x44) but gets the jobs done. Pellets were Crosman 14.3 grain Premier domed. The range is pretty impressive ... check out

NOOOOO Espresso Bar ;-) Everyone else around me was shooting powerful handguns, shotguns and rifles ... mostly, we're talking concrete floor-shaking full-auto AR15 blasts and empty shells splattering. The $20/hour fee included paper targets, a clean, well-lit range and supervising range officers ... distance limit was 25 Yards. Slowly but surely I got into rhythm of relaxed deep-breathing and trigger control. Next time I will go with either a bipod or a sack. The staff was professional with a capital P ... they had a few questions and a couple of compliments about the Steyr. I will go again.
