Tank recommendations

When I first started building and shooting PCP guns I bought a little 100ci ninja tank and filled it, my smallish tanks and guns with a hand pump and later as my needs grew at the local paintball shop. But once I became more firmly addicted, got an Impact, I bought a Yong Heng compressor it filled my 100ci, the Impact and the smaller tanks with ease. A bit over a year later the addiction made me purchased an SK-19 and I needed to shoot even more so finally invested in a 100cf Great White tank set up. Now I finally have enough air so I don't have to worry to much about running out and having to cut my shooting session short. Give yourself a bit of room for expansion buy a small compressor or a larger tank than you think you need it will save you money and heartache later on.

I started out with an Ebay 30 minute SCBA tank costing me $125 at the beginning of 2019. It built in 2006 so the DOT certification ends in 2021.

I took it to my local dive shop and got it pressurized to 3000 psi (Dive shop maximum).

My other purchase was a Yong Heng compressor for $235 that is used to top off the tank to 4200psi. I added a couple of Tux gold filters to dry the air for about $90 each.

Yup this stuff gets expensive. My total in was around $600.

Acecare 9L (550 cu in) DOT for $399.00 on Amazon. $60.00 for a metric valve. Manufacturing date 10/19 so 5 months old.

I also purchased a used tank on Ebay that was manufactured in 2008, had it hydrotested, and purchased a quality fill station from jking, a forum member here. I have it filled either at a dive shop or a fire service repair outfit. Perusing the current listings on Ebay, I would purchase the tank in the following link if I was in the market for another one, it is $225, was manufactured in 2012, made in USA, and has a current hydro test. https://www.ebay.com/itm/INTERSPIRO-LUXFER-MFR-1-2012-45-minute-SCBA-Tank-4500-psi-Current-Hydro/283820965893?hash=item42150c4005:g:MgkAAOSwaXNedBlZ
