Tank Holder

I saw a few posts about some really cool looking tank holders and thought I would post a picture of my "poor mans" tank holder. It is the old backpack for a rediculously large laptop I had a few years ago. LOL!

I did not realize my carbon fiber SCBA tank would be as heavy as it is after filling!

I initially thought I could just carry the tank on my back like one of The Ghostbusters and have it tethered to my air rifle (silly!) but quickly changed my mind when I realized that I am not as young as I used to be and that sucker is heavy!

My tank bag is a compression bag designed to compress sleeping bags into a skinny cylinder. The straps grip just great and form a hand hold for carrying. I added a shoulder strap. These bags are relatively cheap.

For my 30 min tank I use an oxygen tank bag.(Pretty sure it's "D" size) Check ebay and Amazon and at times you can get them as low as $5. Handles and padded straps.
