talon p problem

Frogpockets...(Cool Name) I have a condor ss and I had a similar problem. I hope this helps. Make sure the gun is cocked ALL THE WAY! It may seem like it is cocked but it may not be. Push the cocking handle hard all the way forward till it clicks. Mine did this when i was hunting and thank God my friend was able to go online and figure it out. Let me know if that works.

I would have to agree with crittahitta. I have an Escape SS and it will do the same thing. Mine has been doing it since it was new. It does it much less now (6 months). Sometimes I have to cock it twice. But be firm with it and it should not do it. I have read somewhere that if you take it apart and polish everything is will smooth it out and go away. I chose to just wear it out smooth.

I agree with what crittahitta said also. I have a Talonp now a Talonp carbine and when my gun was newer the hammer would sometimes not engage to the cock and shoot. It would act like it was fully cocked but would not fire and if I remember right I do believe the safety was affected also. I would just firmly push the bolt forward. Knock on wood have not had that problem for some time now everything works fine could be just a break in/wear in issue. I have had my down several times to do mods such as trigger spring and disabling the auto safety, I still have a safety but now it is a manual safety. Your gun is still under warranty so if it does continue you have that to fall back on.
