Taipan Veteran Biathlon Lever

@RenoWollf, @h2okenny and everyone.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate your support and interest, it keeps me somewhat sane.
I will be putting a post in the accessories and parts wen I have it tested and ready. I will be starting a list then. Stay tuned. I have so many PMs (not complaining ;) ) that it will be difficult for me to go back and find out who said they were interested in what. Be patient and I'll get all of you set with the right mods. We are also having a really hard time with the son's physical and mental health, so it might take me some time.

Thanks

Good morning all,

So, some updates. Few of you lucky ones have received a prototype biathlon lever with there orders. So far, I haven't received any negative feedback I can tell everyone that the lever will fit the Mutant and the Veteran. In the next week or so I should be able to release that baby if no weird issues pop-up. I will be posting the mod on Parts and Accessories when it will be ready.

Good evening all,

So latest update. I have a good and a bad news for you guys. Lets start with the bad one first. I ran out of filaments and I am blocked until it gets back in stock. I contacted the provider and they said it will be not before early to mid next month. So I will not be able to send any of them until then. Now, I know I could change filament, but it will probably put me back further as I will have to test it and find the quality and finish I can get with the actual one, as also having few field tests again.

Now the good news. As some of you might have read some of the randomly selected lucky tester have started to give some feedback and reviews. So I am giving you guys some pics of the final version. I can now start to take orders, it will be first come first served. The lever works on Mutant and Veteran. L and R handed available.

Use PM please.

So here it is:

Just saw this post. Excited! I was shooting ground squirrels today. I like to keep the gun shouldered for follow up shots. It is “doable” with the Veteran but a little awkward. The forward lever on the Wildcat is more comfortable. I was actually thinking of trading my “beloved” .25 Veteran because of this. Then I saw this. A life changing moment🤣

I have one question. Have you tested this in high temperatures? I purchased a 3D printed magazine holder that fit into the stock of my Wildcat. I left the gun in the hot truck one summer day and the magazine holder warped. Hopefully your filament is more heat resistant. I will be ordering one.

heggie,

Any type of 3D printed would soften behind the dash of a vehicle. I have used my mag holders in 90 F weather without issues. I have tested the lever in cold weather and warm but not hot temp yet. The plastic I used is called PETG, it has a fusion temperature of 230C and a christal point temperature of ~80C (175F). So below 80 the plastic doesn't soften, after that it will start to get more flexible until it deforms when in the 200C. Direct long term sun exposure isn't a good thing. Dash board or behind the back window isn't a good place for it.

I hope that helps

Thanks to all of you,

I wanted to ask if you could send me your request via PM. It is easier to track. Also try to keep using the same PM thread for one request.
I appreciate your support and I love that I can be helping the community with things that were meant to help me. I think it is pretty cool to see you guys interest. I finally had time to finish my Puerto Rico story and that is to come out next week when Luca comes back.

Again thank you all for your support.

All, The news you were waiting for is here. I will be receiving my filament in the next 2 days and start printing from there. I should be able to start shipping two to three days following the reception of the filament.

I will be following my list in the first come first served fashion. I will send you a PM to let you know when I am printing your parts and also when I will be shipping.
