Taipan Veteran 25 long.

Looking at buying a taipan vet long in 25 cal. More than likely I will buy from Talon Tunes. I seen you can adjust the fps with just the hammer spring. Looking to get the jsb 34 grains at 895 to 905. Which Tony told me he could do. But my main question is does anyone have this setup and how many shot do yo I get on a fill. I was told by a member he get 4 mags or 40 shots.

I've got a Vet. Long in .25 caliber.

I usually shoot three magazines, at minimum, before I need more air. I've never gone to four mags...just never needed to shoot that much in one sitting. Especially since I use the single shot attachment. I favor power and accuracy over a hail of flying lead! Will it go four mags before refill? I'd say yes...I just never tried. The reg is set at 130 BAR, or about 1700 psi before the reg drops off. Just watch your pressure gauge and that should tell you if you have enough air for another mag and still stay regulated.

This thing is a "beast"...it gives me 920 fps with Barracuda 31.1gr pellet, and 750 fps with 49 gr. slugs! Max fpe is 67 pounds, and this is achieved with the hammer spring backed down two turns from full tension (where it refuses to cock) so it's right up there with those Korean guns, but the craftsman ship is incredible...very sturdy!

I don't much care for the bulky stock, but I'm trying to get one made for it by a friend. If it works out, I'll post pictures and such.

Kind regards,

Kindly 'Ol Uncle

"...damn kids! Don't know how good they got it. I'm very healthy, and regular...have a bowel movement every day at 7:30 am. Problem is I don't wake up till 9:00!!!"
