Taipan Veteran .22 JSB 18gr. Vs. JSB Hades

I shot these groups today after polishing my barrel with JB bore paste last night. Target distance was 25yds, targets are dime circumference. I really don’t see a difference at 25 yds between the two pellets. Gun was rested on 2 sand bags from kitchen table, shooting through window (raised lol) to pellet trap in back yard.

Rocky,

These groups are slightly smaller than previous groups before using the JB. I really want to stretch out to 50, 75 and 100 to see if groups are any better. I’m shooting these groups with my Taipan Veteran .22 shorty (compact). I primarily use this for squirrel hunting in forested woodlands of Alabama. Best group I had at 100yards before JB was 1.50 inches (10 shot group), so mIm anxious to see if I can improve. I really have to pick a good day when testing for groups at 75 and 100 yds....no wind.

Most of my shots while hunting are less than 60 to 65 yards.

I tested out to 50 and results were still very good. Squirrel season is now in and been hunting 4 times got 8 on first hunt (limit in Alabama), 5 second hunt, 4 third hunt and 8 on the fourth. When I shot at 50 it was just to confirm that the pellet would stay accurate, then hunting season came in. I will do agin and post the results...going to Auburn football game this weekend, so will probably be next week.

Elbowgrease and Leon,

I was able to stretch out to 50 yards today with the Taipan Veteran to test JSB Hades and JSB 18.13 grain pellets.

First 4 pictures are of JSB Hades 15.89 grain at 50 yds, 230 bar fill shooting from sand bags, 10 shots per mag...2 mags

second 4 pictures are of JSB 18.13 grain at 50 yds, 230fill shooting from sand bags, 10 shots per mag....2 mags

Wind blowing 5 to 10 mph at 10:00 (left to right 135 degrees).
