Tactacam “How To” request.

I don't like using WiFi, a bluetooth connection would be much easier. Anytime i want to use it with the phone, I have to go into the phone settings and disconnect with the internet and connect with Tactacam. If they had used a bluetooth connection, it would automatically connect when turned on. This is not a deal breaker though, because I don't see me using the phone option in the field, my phone's screen is very touchy. I don't even have to touch the screen, just pass a finger over and it opens apps.

The 4.0's zoom feature isn't that great, but if I get the 5.0 Hunter package, I could use the 4.0 with the FTS and the 5.0 with it's 8x zoom for stand off recording.

I hoping to get out in the woods this Monday to try it out.

I’ve been using mine since August and love it. Learning curve isn’t bad. Now, editing the actual footage into a viewable video is a different story and take some time to learn. I suggest VideoLeap. It does what you want for free, and isn’t that hard to learn. I do all my editing on an iPhone. But I think I’m getting an iPad Pro for Christmas mainly to make it easier to compile and edit video.

Going for tree rats in the morning so I attached the Tactacam and tried to connect to my phone with wifi to make sure it was in plane with the reticle. The wifi in our house is down right now and the phone would not connect. When the wifi was up and running, the phone connected. I didn't think the House wifi had anything to do with the connection. Is this just coincidence? If not, how could one set this up out in the field before a hunt? I have never had much luck with any type of device linked with wifi, (computer, printer, blue ray, surround system, tv and computer are all hard wired)

I don't understand why they don't use a bluetooth connection.
