For those of you with experience with the Tactacam FTS, does the system produce a full sized picture on the SD card or does it need enlarged in post editing?
Please define what you consider "full sized picture", if you mean the round scope picture fitting to the edge of the frame or do you mean is the center section of reticle fit the entire frame. The Tactacam FTS software on your tablet or smart device will show you what you will have as a final image. The resolution mode you are capturing in will dictate what size the scope window is. The higher the resolution mode, the smaller the image in the frame will be but for the most part, the image below is representative of what you can expect.
I think I mean to ask can the camera take video zoomed in on the center of the reticle so there is no black surrounding the frame. Like this:
I'm trying to figure out how much post editing work I'll need to do on the video. The closer I can get the original footage to the way I want it, the better. I'm hoping to be able to set the system up to record a shot on target in slow motion, press pause following the shot, set up for the next shot, unpause and record the next shot, pause for setup, unpause to record the next shot, ect.
Ideally the video I record can be copied directly into my videos without any additional post editing. Is this possible?
That level of zoom will require post production work.
Advice, if you are going to zoom in like that use the highest capture resolution you can so the image does not degrade when zooming in post production.
