Tactacam FTS 5.0 Scope Cam System

I just pick this up. I can get the focus correct on the diopter for the FTS but I can't see through the scope everything is blurry. When I readjust the diopter for my eye the FTS video is blurry. I can't find an in-between for focus. Will this suck and I guess I'm returning the FTS, 5.0, and, 5.0 wide, and the remote.

This may help some of you, this is how I have mine setup. Some scopes simply don't pair well with the system from my experience. It's important to take the time to set up correctly and make sure scope lenses are clean. This unit may not be for everyone but can be used on a professional level with practice. Many people jump into getting a scopecam system but may not realize editing can be a big part of using the footage. It's like anything, you have to practice and take the time to learn.

Hi Joe. Or anyone who has this camera system. I just bought it and is coming Sunday. Have you tried recording at night with a green or red light attached to the gun? Wondering if it would work well. Thanks

Using it to record at night wouldn't work well at all unless you had a significantly bright spotlight. 

I haven't noticed it mentioned but you can put the FTS unit at any angle to adjust for personal comfort but MAKE SURE camera itself is mounted true vertically (on/off button PARALLEL to the Elevation crosshair on scope) otherwise you'll have canted crosshairs on your video. Hope I explained that well enough. (So far, I'm using it WITHOUT the app. Just basic video recording) 

So, where can I buy one that doesn't send me to the couch?

Any advice on stores that typically run discounts on the Tactacams?

So, I've used mine twice now in the last week. Getting used to it & really love it. I've no interest in producing videos for public sharing, although the quality of video in slo mo would easily hold up, I just wanted to verify 2 kill shots that were hard to confirm with the naked eye. Both kills verified in slo mo & was VERY satisfying. I used Windows 10 Film Editor to trim & slow down video & it works great.
