Tactacam first outing

I've been using VideoLeap, which was recommended by @tflats99 who does the awesome EDgun Leshiy squirrel and backyard bullies videos... Its an app that is downloaded to your phone or iPad. There is a free version, and then a pay Pro version with more features is available ($35/yr or $65/forever). Try out the free version first.

Thanks for the feedback. I have been watching videos on them today and it looks like a great setup. I’m going on a bear hunt in September and I hope to have one before then.

I bought from Fox Optic for $530 with extras at no cost and free shipping. I received it in 2 days. Check them out...

I just put my order in with Fox optics. Hopefully I get it by this weekend when I’ll have some time to tinker around.

Let us know how it works for you.

This is what it looks like on a .22 Cricket mini Carbine with Vortex Razor HD LH scope. Can be on either side or up top. Depending on which scope, the distance that you insert the FTS unit to get proper eye relief varies. In this scope it was about 1/4 inch from all the way in, and on the Athlon Midas TAC it’s pushed all the way. The FTS unit comes with numerous inserts or shims to ensure a perfect fit on almost any size scope ocular. Using this is just like looking through your scope. No annoying eye cups or anything that changes the way you shoot. And it’s light enough you don’t even know it’s there...

Well that shoots that out of the water, Two of my guns have the Athlon scopes on them, And I really like the scopes.

Mike

Not sure what you mean? It works great with the Athlon Midas TAC...

Some Athlons have the illumination control close to the reticle. I have one like that too, and therefore I can't use the setup on it.

I finally got mine in the other day and started to set it up. I have to wait for a day when it’s light out and I have time to fine tune it since the lighting in my house sucks for it. Hopefully this coming weekend I can get it and do some shooting. I have to say fox optics is a solid place to order from too. Great price and they shipped it out fast. I’d definitely buy from them again.
