Tac Vector 3-18X50 FFP review

The factory contacted me and stated that my price was in violation of their MAP Pricing and informed me I needed to price them at 350 as a minimum price. Now I see optics planet price am going to move them back. Remember if you ever have questions I am just an email, text or phone call away. It's not the same manufacturer as Discovery,

Thanks for the clarification.

There is ZERO DOUBT IN MY MIND THIS IS A MUCH BETTER SCOPE THAN A DISCOVERY! THEY'RE NOT EVEN IN THE SAME CLASS AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED

Sorry for the caps lock I have no idea why my phone does that sometimes

I wish you scored different aspects of scopes from 1-10 such as glass, reticle, tracking, ect... because it's hard to compare "badass" to "badass" in the same price range.

Heavy Impact even if I did it's still just one guys opinion. I have approximately 20 hours in each of these scope videos that come in under 6 mins ...Seems stupid but it's true . I try my Very Best not to just ramble on and make videos that are boring to viewers . It's kinda a delicate balance act . I did a few VERY detailed reviews and guys hated them for being too long . I am actually pretty proud of my reviews seeing as I don't have sponsors helping foot the bill for me . Honest reviews without sponsors are a dying breed . I will try and score scopes in a consise way in the future ...Thanks sincerely for the feedback man !!!!

I love your videos and wish they were longer, even if you're just shooting the breeze. You can't please everyone so do what you enjoy and don't give it a second thought.

I did start buying Discovery based on your reviews and I bought a Vector based on your review. 5 scopes so far.

Geez, Joe, Caps lock? No worries, I just thought you were making one of the straight forward subtle comments for which you're known so well! 😉

BTW bud, still cant thank you enough for guiding me to the SWFA F1 Tactical I bought...love it! Talk about tight repeatable adjustments...You weren't kidding!

Hi All,

It appears that Tac Vector may have some quality control issues. I purchased one of these from Edgun West based on Joe's recommendation. When the scope arrived I took it out of the box and looked it over. When I tried to turn the parallax knob the first time I thought I was going to need a set of pliers. I finally got it to turn but it was way too difficult and not nearly the same as what I witnessed when I watched Joe's review. To make matters worse the illumination dial was even worse. The parallax wheel did loosen up somewhat but the illumination dial is nearly impossible to turn. I mounted the scope on my 25 cal FX Dreampup and took it out back in the yard to do some actual shooting. The turrets were very audible and do work as advertised. The glass is nice and clear and is on par with the Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24x50 that I just recently sold. I decided to test the illuminated center dot, so I installed a CR2032 and the first thing I noticed was that the center dot was not evenly illuminated.

I contacted Brian at Edgun West and described my dissatisfaction. Brian wrote back and informed me that as long as the scope had not been mounted I could send it back for a refund. Unfortunately, I did in fact mount the scope for testing so it appears I am stuck with it. Moving forward I would advise anyone who purchases one of these scope to look it over carefully before mounting so you do not suffer the same fate.

I also purchased the same scope about 2 weeks ago, and paid $285.00 for it, only to read this thread a few days later and find out the price dropped to $235.00.

I sent an email to Edgun West last Monday to ask if I paid the correct price based on Brian's comments about MAP pricing above. I also asked if I would be eligible for a store credit or refund.

I got NO response........ Zero post sales support.

Also, my parallax knob is also difficult to turn, I thought it was frozen in place when I took it out of the box. Likewise the illumination knob is extremely hard to turn and I find myself unscrewing the battery cover more often than turning it on or off. To bad we cannot return this pos. I thought the dials would loosen up, and I mounted the scope. Unfortunately, the dials did not loosen up. Just because I mounted the scope should not void the warranty in my opinion. Needless to say I will not be doing any future business with Edgun West. In the future I will only buy my toys from companies that have multiple vendors so I can choose who I do business with. No more single points of failure for me.

I also contacted Vector Optics, the said they said there was probably to much glue under the dials and I should use more strength! what a joke, nothing but cheap Chinese junk.

After trading emails with Vector Optics in china, they of course went silent too.

DO NOT BUY!

I more pissed off that I paid and extra 50 bucks more and got no response to my email whatsoever from Edgun West...
