synrod conversion to bullpup

Would like to get some information on who may sell the complete kit -If you have ever done this and was it worth it ? I realize that its not like the compacts that are out there. Just would like to change the appearance. Will be purchasing a cricket or wildcat in 25cal before summer- torn between the two . Thanks for the help! the syn is 22 cal.

Thanks for the reply Big Tin, doesn't look like there's much interest in these. By the look of the price, I might as well go to the puncher breaker for a backup gun. I believe that I can make an attachment to the back my seat cover in my toyo., for when I am out scouting. Not much room in those things, I wouldn't want to scratch up one of those pretty $1000+ guns riding out in the open. Thanks again Darell

It makes the Marauder a different gun. Balance is near perfect centered at the hand grip. The entire package feels lighter due to the weight shift to the rear. Most cost in the $400 range but you can occasionally find a used one like I did for $200. It turned out to be a knock off of the Mad Dog / R&L one however it works very well. It is usually my go to beater gun for many hunting task. To date I have NEVER seen a Mad Dog on the used market. I have seen a very few used Rapid70's which are made in Spain and can take a while to get.

Here's my .25. I tried those other options, I could never get the guy the makes those wood finished ones to reply either email or on his Facebook page. So I went with the MDRL kit and it's awesome.

I have a Kral and a P-12, but I still grab the Mrod 1st. I opted for the longer stock so I can use a forearm grip + bipod, well balanced and with pretty good aftermarket power.

Kkarmical That's nice looking- appears not to many options out their, but because everyone has responded so well, it has giving me more insight for what I want to do. You guys got me craving for one of stocks. Did you add a cheek rest to your bp, or did it come with the kit? did not see it mentioned on the R&L site. Also what type of muz. brk. are you using and the effectiveness towards sound . I'm looking at the sumo Thanks for the help-- Darell

Ordered the cheek piece here

My ldc came with my gun, previous owner had it made, it quiets down the bark makes it quieter than both my .22's even when I tune it to 70fpe.

I'm going to pick up one of DonnyFl Ronin next for it though, as I just picked up a Fatboy to use on my .22's and his craftsmanship is amazing.

The MDRL kit is pricey I'll admit it, but it's worth it in the end because it transforms the Mrod into a totally new gun.

The MDRL kit is available from the man who makes them too, maddogriflestocks.net Talk to the owner, Doug, super nice guy and is an airgun nut just like the rest of us. Imo, you won’t find a nicer stock or a nicer guy to deal with. I had a .22 synrod that I put in a MDRL stock, sold it to fund something else, still kicking myself for getting rid of it.

Joekrooz Thanks for the reply! Have been looking at all the sites mentioned from fellow members . Do love some of those wood stocks but this one will mainly be my go to scouting- ride along gun. I go into some pretty bad dense areas on the west side of the state-the east side I can use something nicer. I do like the md that KKarmical has but there is a short version of it also just by a few inch's. I see that they have them for $465 on sale but with add ons think it'll be about $495.But as they say-- you have to do what you have to do. Thanks again Joe!
