SWFA Airgun Scope !

It needs a small floating dot or clear diamond in the center. Then it would be great!

I like yours Joe. The only thing I would change is to make the diamonds equal. As in squares set on 45 degree angle. That way the holdover value is the same for the diamonds both vertically and horizontally. I am 3 scopes deep into the ffp 3-15 SS. The tree and altered diamond are the two things I would upgrade. The Bobro mounts are also pretty BadA. Happy Hunting.

I absolutely love this reticle, it's the best I've ever used! If Christmas tree style windage dots were added, it would be even better! This scope is a SFP because of the high magnification but in your scope's design, I would much prefer a FFP with a MIL/MIL reticle.

Joe are these the Rear Parallax Adjustment or Side Parallax Adjustment scopes? I find the Rear Parallax Adjustment SS scopes to be hard to dial in, the wheel is simply too small the adjustments to fine compared to a Front or side Parallax Adjustment wheel much more room for adjustment.

Floating dot and a Christmas tree with side focus in mil/mil would be great!

+1 for the center dot. Years ago, I use to have a Hawke scope that had a center dot with a hole in the dot. Like a small donut. It was very useful when you were trying to time your heart beats

I have 3 of the SWFA SS 20x moa scopes now. I find the MOA recicle more useful than mils when bracketing field targets. The biggest issue I have with them is the close focus. 2 of them will go down to 11 yards, 1 goes to 12 yards. I use a Leupold close focus adaptor to range the closer targets. I have to remove it and take the shot blurry once I know what distance to click to. A side focus 3-15 that will focus close would be a great Hunter class Field Target scope, and probably the best bet for success. I am aparantly the only one who likes the rear focus for field target. The marks are close together, but works well because there is no lash in the adjustment.

I like it with the Christmas tree windage dots it would be perfect. SFP or FFP would be fine for me.

That reticle looks good Joe. Don't like fixed power scopes though. It would be nice to have 1/10 turret adjustments 

I feel the best reticle I have seen is on the hawke frontier with the TMx reticle.....hands down for me

3-12 mag range is plenty but ideally the most you could cram in 18oz

I like the quad reticles, however if we're talking FFP, I would like to see finer line thickness towards the center and thicker further away. Its nice to actually be able to see the reticle on lower power magnifications and it's also nice to not have the cross hair completely block out your target when fully zoomed in.

I like your tree a lot. But what ever the final scope has please please make it fine. I don't care if a scope cam can't focus on it, I just don't want it obscuring my target. 

There are a couple reasons why I didn't buy a variable power SWFA SS FFP scope yet. They need to offer MOA, Christmas tree type reticle, high variable power, and it needs to focus parallax down below ten yards for close shots. If they offer these features it will sell to airgunners as well as the (trending) long range shooting sports enthusiasts.

I vote for a SFP scope with a reticle similar to the one you suggest. I'm more inclined to like the Hawke Airmax which is similar. It should be illuminated for sure and power should be up to 16X at least. 24 would be better. Please, no FFP. Focus wheel should have a large amount of throw because focusing between 40 and 55 yards is difficult at best. That will be the key to a good FT scope.
