SWFA 16X42 Review and Hawke Tac 6.5X20X42 20X 1/2mil Comparison

Just a quick review of my new SWFA 16X42 with the mil quad reticle that I installed on my Vulcan Tactic a couple of weeks ago. Since I replaced the Hawke Tac on the Vulcan I'll use it as a comparison on features and price.

The Hawke's weight is 26OZ and length 15.4"
The SWFA weight is 18.3 and 13.4OZ

I really like the reticle on the both scopes. The mil quad on the SWFA is extremely fine with many aim points made up of small diamond and dashes.
I also like the 20X 1/2mil on the Hawke just as well if not a little better due to it being space out a little more than the SWFA.
Clarity on both scopes seems to be about the same. I'll need to do a little testing on some text at different ranges to see if there is any noticeable difference.
I tried using Chairgun to help build a cheat sheet for the SWFA but ended up just zeroing it at 60 and shooting in the other dashes and diamonds to find the true yardage out to 100yds.
The SWFA is the first fixed power that I've owned and the focusing is at the rear of the scope which is very smooth.
The turrets on the SWFA are very defined, maybe a little better than the Hawke. Not a lot of whistle and bells on the SWFA which is fine.I very seldom use the lighted reticle on any of my Hawkes anyway.
The Hawke does come with screw in metal lens covers and the SWFA, nothing but Butler caps are on their website for an easy add on.
Pricewise, the SWFA was $316 and the Hawkes range from $479-499, so value wise the SWFA to me is a great deal.
Would I buy another SWFA, yes. Would I buy another Hawke Tac, yes but probably used to save a few buck.
Here's a couple of photos of the SWFA mounted on my Vulcan.
