'sus sites popping up everywhere

Previously identified airgunns.com is also showing up as

  • airgunc.com,
  • airgunon.com,
  • airguna.com,
  • airgunon.com,
  • airgun-us.com,
  • airgunu.com,
  • airgunon.us,
  • airgunsu.com, and
  • airgundepots.com
  • (and probably other domain names)

It looks like they are plagiarizing web pages from what I believe to be the legitimate pyramyd [removeme] air.com. I put the "removeme" so as to not sully the legitimate site's name in a post about a bunch of suspect sites.

Do a websearch on the following passage:

>"Whether we recommend a CO2 air gun for your son to go plinking or a .45 caliber air rifle that you can take on your next wild boar hunt,"

You'll get lots of hits.

They are advertising ammo that is not in stock anywhere else. I was suspicious and did some digging. I found this post: https://www.airgunnation.com/topic/airgun-ns-is-this-store-legitimate/ which seems to be related.

No phone number of ship from address that I found on the suspicious sites.

They also claim:

>We have a complete repair shop, service many brands/models of airguns and are a factory-authorized repair/warranty station for Airgun Ns is an authorized airgun repair station for Air Arms, Air Venturi, Anschutz, Beeman, Benjamin, Crosman, Diana, Eun Jin, Evanix, Feinwerkbau, IZH-Baikal, Norica, Sam Yang, Seneca, and Weihrauch airguns.

Which I doubt.

Regardless of what they’re doing or advertising, stay away from these sites. If you are unsure where to shop for ammo, airguns, or accessories click the rolling banner at the top of your screen or the larger banner just above it and shop with AGN sponsors. They are generally safe to transact with. If you can’t find what you’re searching for with AGN sponsors ask some members about a site or business that you are unfamiliar with and search the AGN threads. Chances are you aren’t the first member to encounter these sites or businesses. There are several threads about these fraudsters on AGN. They operate under various names often claiming to be based in Texas.
