Survival Airgun

"c_m_shooter"There was an article on Airguns of Arizona Blog awhile back about a guy who lived a summer in his pickup homeless feeding himself with a Crosman 2100 Classic. He said it was the best part of his gear, just about the only thing that didn't let him down.
Was this the guy who was living off the state land in California? Shooting BBs because he liked how they penetrated? (and how cheap they are!)

Finally, here is a real-world survival scenario!

The Walther LGV is not your average springer. It is very user friendly and not too hold sensitive. Accuracy wise, it will keep up with most of my PCP guns. It is easily serviced with minimal tools. It requires no pump or bottle and has plenty of power in the FAC , 177 version. A few bad points of the gun are the factory sights, theyre junk. THey don't hold zero. The other bad point is the gun is heavy. I also recommend getting the "Tuning Trigger" for it. It makes a world of difference in shot control.

I understand that this is an airgun forum, populated by airgun enthusiasts. I hope I can be forgiven though for not understanding the premise of the thread.

Isn't survival + airgun a bit like wondering which Prius gets the best 0-60 times? Or which sports car hauls the most lumber?

No offense, but barring legal issues...I'm thinking that any weapon that my survival or even my next meal depends on would be a PB.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.
