Buy the 34mm 5-25x56 and I will buy it from you if you aren't happy with it just don't mount it.

Offer is to buy any amount at this sale price as long as they weren't mounted.

I have a new in box Tract Toric 4-20x50 cost $1200+ willing to trade it for TWO of these 34mm 5-25x56.

The rest I will offer to buy outright.

Looks like a good deal Yo. I think it’s a bit chunky and no zero stop. But it appears to be a bench scope anyway so not that big of a deal. Good find. Is this a new company? Haven’t heard of them before...

MidwayUSA?

Hehehe...

Veered off the strayed beaten down path this time eh?

Oh Crimson Trace?

They offer to send owners free batteries every year 4life.

Crimson Trace has been around for several years producing primarily laser sights for firearms. They added the optics line a couple of years ago. Historically, they have excellent customer service and exceptional warranties. Speaking from my own experience of their products. I surely give them a high recommendation. BTW. Happy New Year everyone!!

First off, I really like ODoyle's "Posts For The Blind"...must be using the "Godzilla Font", as found normally in Japan.

My concerns:

1) If it's that good a scope, why is it selling at less than half price? Seems the "Discovery" series do much the same thing at half the Crimson's half price...

2) That thing is big enough to club a full grown ox senseless! It's just a pound less than some of the air guns it could be used on.

Is the Chinese entry of quality scopes into the air gun market driving the prices on good quality scopes so low??? This is a recent phenomenon...suddenly it seems many quality scopes can be had at bargain basement prices! Or, did the market determine they were over-priced to begin with?

Elderly, semi-senile minds are curious...what's going on in the scope world???

This really does seem like a good deal. I might have to try one out. Japanese quality at $500 and less usually feels pretty good.

Side note: I don’t think we can be sure these are made at LOW. I have seen a few people on forums guess that, but one of the few people that studies these things believes that are made at Japan Optics, where Riton and Barra are made. Looking at the pricing, that also seems more likely. It is much harder to believe LOW scopes are being sold this low. (That being said, even better manufacturers can make lower end products as well.)

It is a great time for scopes. The advancements in the last 5-10 years have been great. I do think the advancements at some is the China manufacturers has helped with pricing, but the better products are still going to demand higher prices.

Not having used this scope, but only reading about them, I believe there is a very good chance they are that much better than a Discovery. But scope choices all depend on your eyes and your needs.

To me, these are one of those scopes with a higher MSRP than they deserve, because they say Japan. Also, many scopes don’t sell at their MSRP, and this is another example. Many popular brands have high MSRP, but reputable dealers still sell them far below. I have never paid full price for a NF, Vortex, Athlon, etc from official dealers. They often show a sale price, but in the end, it is the price it deserves. In Crimson’s case, they have another Model 5, that they have to differentiate enough from for people to pay its higher price as well.

I have three Riton's that are all overweight . The 56mm Mod 7 was made in Japan and 37oz or so. Nice glass but all a bit piggy for what they are. I tend to think that scopes built buy LOW will weigh less. Just like Leupold adds "lightness".

I would say that depends more on what the retailer wants them to make. Look at the Vortex Razr by LOW. Talk about a piggy!
