I ordered this scope for my Hatsan Flash QE, and I'd like to put a sun shield on it since most of my hunting will be squirrels in the back yard where the sun shines directly into in the evening. Bushnell doesn't seem to make a sun shade for this scope or any 40mm ones for that matter. Does anyone know of a sun shade that fits bushnell 40mm objective lenses?

I have the same question. I have a notion that a generic 40mm will fit it. I'm surprised I don't have one on hand that I can try. Mine are 50mm and 56mm. I'll buy a generic and let you know. I bought a 3x9, 3x12 and a 6x18 when Midway had them on sale. So far so good on them!

I emailed bushnell and they told me the threads on the objective bell are for seating the lense, not for a sun shade. If you find one that fits though, let me know. I'm going to look into making one.
