Suggestions on another 177 for a buddy

Admittedly, I've only held a bull pup one time when I was at AoA about 15 yrs ago.. when they were in the old house. It just felt weird. I suppose I should give it another look.. I know Bob_O loves his and wears out some critters with it..

I grasp the mirror on my truck to support my left hand and rest the Streamline on my left hand and swing the mirror "in and out." works great. My fear is that a Bull pup would not be " long enough." maybe I should give it another try.

I had a Taipan Veteran in .22 that I was using out my truck window like you. I was tracking a ground squirrel that stopped just in time that I avoided shooting my mirror off. I sold that one and bought a Wildcat that had a Hugget on the end that acted like a mirror stop, when I was tracking in the scope and got too far it would bump into the mirror and keep it safe! The guns that I have had the most success with in the truck have been in the “semi bull pup” range. Compatto, Bantam, Impact and Ataman compact were all really great to pull in and put on the seat next to me and not hit the headliner, also they are long enough to rest on your arm to maneuver your shot. Good luck, I think I might check out one of those R10s that everyone is talking about ?

I thought about the Wildcat a lot last night.. Couldn't sleep thinking about it..( Thanks Rodeo!!!)/ Your gonna cost me.. :)

Anyway, I picked up my rifle this evening and the gauge shows "0."

I was so pissed.. I filled the tank( reservoir) and I heard air coming from the vent hole. Not the first time that this has happened.

I came right home and ordered a Huma ( med) set at 110 bar.. I hope this fixes the problem.

I just despise rewarding a mfg by ordering another gun when it seem pretty clear their regulators need improvement.. At least in my mind..

I truly hope the Huma fixes this issue.

The question is, will the bantam hit a "quarter" at 35 yds.? I'm shooting sparrows.. accuracy is everything.. Doesn't matter about fit, finish, or price.. but it has to be accurate.. I'm not punching paper.. I'm killing animals..

I have a Bantam Hi-Lite .25 that easily groups inside a quarter at 35 yards - and it hits with authority! Reliability so far has been perfect. I would buy another in .22 with no qualms about it.

The only paper punching I've done with it is enough to ensure that my scope is sighted in well. I've taken about 25 prairie dogs and half a dozen rabbits with it - some out to 50 yards or so. I would think that the .22 version would be similarly accurate.

Yes, stealth. From my past experience.. I shoot sparrows from my truck. Doves can be as clsoe as 2' away and I can bust a sparrow. Doves just look at the sparrow like "what the heck happened to him.." they don't fly away and the other sparrows stay around.. the goal is to kill 'em not run them off..

A 22 is a much better choice for so many reasons.. but noise, air consumption and the whack from a JSB spooks the other birds... the Streamline on med power and a Hugget is PERFECT.. I'm just looking for alternative PCP.. the little 8.44 gr JSB does a number on those b'strds.
