I just want to post my real world results of a young heng compressor after one year. I filled enough scba tanks to shoot 300 lbs of lead outta my 50 texan. Finally a huge vapor cloud of oil in the room and a different tone. I instantly shut it down and got on eBay and ordered a new piston both stages valve and head gaskets $35 from china. It was supposed to be a !month shipping but it came early. I had no expectations of the compressor working again lol I tore it down easily and the ring s were bad. The inside of.the heads were fine. Put the new piston valve and head gaskets . I also used permatex paper gasket sealer. Can't hurt. Let everything dry till morning. And to my surprise my compressor is working great again. The Chinese $230 young heng continues to amaze me.

Congratulations, ease of repair and inexpensive parts was a big selling point for my Yong Heng purchase. Don't hesitate to chime in the next time you see a Yong Heng bashing underway, you've some real world experience to share.

Nice work! I have a spare from the con rod up, including cyl head for not much more on aliexpress. For when mine needs it, 3yrs and going!

That's great to hear you are up and running again. Parts are so cheap and these things are so easy to werq on they made a fan out of me for sure.
I have a spare compressor early model with the weak piston that I retired early so it still runs. Got another piston for it but have not changed it out as yet.

Shooting mostly .510 460 gr and .510 650 gr. Without the cheap Yong Heng air compressor most of us would not be able to afford the sport of. Pcp air rifles. Lets give thanks to retired scba tanks for $50.00 too I think a new Scott scba.tank.is.alot.of.money $800.00 plus. Its a goo

Keep a couple of pistons and gauges on hand, you will need them sooner or later. And I bought gasket material from autozone to make my own gaskets. For the price, they're hard to beat!

I don't use my YH alot because I have the GX3 and the Omega Air Charger. I just like having backups.
