Stupid Fast Pellet Gun or just stupid pellet gun?

Got 2 of those. Had them for 10 years or so. All you have to do is drill out the primer pocket on a 223 to fit a shotgun primer and dent the neck to stop the pellet from falling into the case. They work but they don't work well in my experience! They leave a lot of nasty primer residue as well that is normally consumed during a full gunpowder burn! I use them in a single shot New England Arms .223 rifle. A standard .22 pellet just does not have a large enough diameter to properly ride a .223 barrel.

ya'' i got a little pistol like that, you put pistol primers in the casei

n and stick a pellet in the front.Really accurate "its .5.5mm

No doubt some schmuck will try it with a load of powder and the pellet will disintegrate leaving the muzzle.😬

Ever see the "schmuck" that shoot pellets from 22 rifles using 22 blanks from nail guns.....no...did not think so.

High powered blanks will fling a pellet at close to 4000fps....and amazing pellets stay together, and have more penetrating power then a "normal" 22 "stinger" type bullet.

Then quite some time ago daisy came out with VL ammo and guns....in a nutshell used the compression of the air (it heats up you know.....well perhaps not) to set off a powder charge.

It was a step between their air guns, and their 22 rimfire guns....yes children daisy made rimfire back in the day. Thought process was well little johnny learned to shoot with a daisy air rifle, next step will be the VL rifles, then a real 22 rim fire.

Uncle Sam said sorry your VL deal is actually a fire arm and that ended that. They are a pretty cool oddity in the history of....rimfire, air rifles......whatever.

Their 22's are also very interesting.....lots of plastic, and a very "bb gun" feel to them....I think this is why they did not catch on....they just feel cheap....and cheaper then the other "big" plastic gun of that era the Nylon series of guns by Remington/CRC depending on the vintage.

i like airguns for the fact they are QUIET!!! if your going that direction just use a powder burner!!! J.M.O.

Some airguns are quiet....others sound like subsonic rim fire from a rifle length gun........then if you feel the need for speed and for whatever reason think you need to push the pellet to supersonic....you are not getting away from that noise.
