For those who use it, do you use the angle from Strelok or do you use the straight line calculation done in your rangefinder, if yours has it. The rangefinder I ordered does not have it. My initial opinion is that it just takes a single step after you enter the yardage to point the phone at the target and let it calculate the angle for you. Just wanted to know the saltys with Strelok how they do it.

My rangefinder calculates angle automatically so I just use the range from it. If your rangefinder doesnt factor the angle in then yes I would use the angle finder on your phone thru the app.

I use the angle my phone gives me when recording through the Side-Shot scope cam.

Well that is a great setup. Can’t wait to get at those ground squirrels with my new rangefinder and this app. Those suckers on the far hill ain’t safe anymore!

Yes, unless I remember to bring my old stand-alone phone that I use just for Strelok.
But normally I'm shooting from one position for multiple shots so I just calculate once and I'm good until I relocate.

Good point. My field is huge and undulating. About 40 yards is a downed dead tree the squirrels like to sun themselves. Then about 70 yards out is a shady hill where they move about. Then there’s the banking hill around 107 yards out where they liked to thumb their nose at me. Those are the suckers I’ll be ranging and clicking in for!
