Stored reservoir pressure?

I am new to the PCP side of things and have a question I hope you fellas can help with. I have a new Marauder F&T. In the manual it states that the rifle should be stored with "some" pressure in the reservoir. This is to keep the seals forced against the sealing surfaces. That makes perfect sense to me. But, how much is "some" ? The max pressure is 3000 psi. Can I put the rifle up after shooting with say...... 1500-2000 psi left in the reservoir? Or would it be best to run the pressure down to a lower level? I know probably elementary. But I'm learning with this one.

Thanks

Welcome to AGN and the Airgun world. A lot of terrific people out here.

FYI, most of the time when I am done shooting, I fill my rifles back up to max pressure before I put them back on the rack. I have been doing this for two decades with no issues, so I don't think you will have any problem putting it away charged to anywhere within normally recommended fill pressures.

It says stored with some pressure. Meaning what it says. Some. Can be 500 psi, 1000 psi, 2000, 3000. Whatever. Doesnt matter how much pressure is stored inside. As long as there is some pressure. You do not want to stored it with no pressure. If your stored it for months with no pressure. When you try to fill the gun. There will be a leak. So stored with some pressure in the tube to avoid leaks.
